JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT - In a story taking place prior to the original Jack Ryan stories, Ryan is a young stock broker working for a billionaire in Moscow before joining the CIA. Ford has been the best, although I don't think any of them have truly captured the essence of the character from the books. I actually think Harrison Ford's character in Air Force One was closer to capturing the personality of Jack Ryan from the books. Hunt for Red October has been the best movie so far.

i think Baldwin was really underrated.
I would need to watch "The Hunt ..." again to see if i'm right.


I think i saw new Jack Ryan movie already. It was called "The Recruit". Why do i have a feeling that Costner gonna betray Pine character in the end ?

i actually want to check this film out, im not excited for it,more just curious, id o like the distinction that they are making between jack ryan and other spy characters in that for example james bond and Ethan Hunt both are the classic action heroes who who their mid and their brute skills to overcome adversity , while jack ryanin this atleast is not the best physically, he can handle himslef ina fight but the biggest thing with him is his brilliant mind, his mind is his biggestweapon, he is very strategic etc.

i'd like to see a larger role for john clark and ding chavez in the movies, and if they intend to spin this thing into a continuation of the franchise they should start to introduce rainbow into the movieverse
