Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) is back, and he's heading to Venezuela for his latest assignment, which will see the ace CIA analyst confront the forces in power in a highly dangerous, declining democratic regime.

In addition to the 4x Primetime Emmy-nominated lead, John Krasinski (The Office), both Abbie Cornish (Seven Psychopaths) and Wendell Pierce (The Wire) will also return as Cathy Muller and James Greer, respectively. New series regulars include Noomi Rapace (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Jovan Adepo (Sorry For Your Loss), Jordi Mollà (Bad Boys II), Cristina Umaña (Narcos), and Francisco Denis (Narcos).

The season premiere date has yet-to-be-announced, but the reveal should be coming soon enough and with this newly-released trailer, it seems Amazon Prime Video may be looking at a possible fall return.

Also, in case you missed it, the critically-acclaimed series has already been renewed for a third season, meaning Jack's adventures are likely far from over.

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan features:
John Krasinski as Jack Ryan
Abbie Cornish as Cathy Muller
Wendell Pierce as James Greer
John Hoogenakker as Matice
Mena Massoud as Tarek Kassar
Noomi Rapace as Harriet "Harry" Baumann
Michael Kelly as Mike November
Jovan Adepo as Marcus
Jordi Molla as Nicolas Reyes
Cristina Umaña as Gloria Bonalde
Francisco Denis as Ubarri
Tom Wlaschiha as Max Schenkel

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan season two premieres TBD

Haven't seen season 1 yet but always heard good things.

Just finished The Boys yesterday and thought it was fantastic.

I never paid attention to what Amazon's been cooking up until now, but I'm definitely interested in what they've got in store from here on out. Especially LOTR of course.

@Kurne - Good Omens and The Boys were my highlights among the more high profile shows. Jack Ryan was solid, but this whole genre is pretty much always the equivalent of fast food to me. One of my favourites from Amazon that's been going on for a while now is definitely Bosch. I've yet to watch the second season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but it's nice as well.

I started watching the Nicolas Winding Refn miniseries Too Old to Die Young, but haven't finished it so far. It's at times extremely slow, and among the many characters there's probably only one that's even 1/2 likeable.

Gives me clear and present danger vibes from ambush scene.

I find this guy to look kinda goofy.. can’t seem to take him too seriously.. that said season 1 was pretty good.. been a fan of the character for a while.. looking forward to season 2

I hear way too many ppl pushing this guy and his wife for Reed and Sue..I’m not feeling it.. could it work ? Sure... is it the very best casting that could be done.. I think not.. go with unknowns

@MuadDib - I don't see the goofy reference, Krasinski is an alright enough looking dude. You just may be going off from the character he played in The Office. He was great in the Benghazi movie and had strong presence in seaon one of this show. I think he would also make a great Indiana Jones since he reminds me of Ford in some ways.

Might give this a shot, love Noomi Rapace. There is a believable toughness about her while retaining a feminine sexiness. Don't know why Marvel hasn't grabbed her up for a role yet?

Wow that looked great, action packed and explosive indeed! And didn't realize Noomi Rapace was in this season, great addition right there. Season 2 looks like it will be even better than the first (which was all around quite good).
