As we await a premiere date, Amazon Prime Video has released an intense new teaser trailer for Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, which provides us with our first clip from the upcoming series as John Krasinski (The Office) shares a meal with a suspect and swears to him that he's just a mild-mannered paper salesman analyst looking for answers.

Plot details remain under wraps, but we do also catch a quick highlight reel of some of the action and suspense to come as Ryan works his way around Europe and the Middle East, doing his best to locate a new terrorist figurehead, so that he can prevent a massive attack on the United States of America.

Watch the new teaser trailer below:

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan features:
John Krasinski as Jack Ryan
Abbie Cornish as Cathy Muller
Wendell Pierce as James Greer
Peter Fonda as Joe Muller
Mena Massoud as Tarek Kassar
Timothy Hutton as Singer
Al Sapienza as Lt. Gen. Marcus Trent

I think the mainstay rule for drinking games while watching Jack Ryan properties is to finish your drink and down six shots whenever he mentions only being an analyst.

Loved him as Jim Halpert in The Office. So glad to see his career flourish so amazingly since then

Oh you silly Jack Ryan.
Been saying he’s just an analyst for 30 years. Only to avert nuclear holcaust on his days off.
Oh you Jack.

Everyone talking about how good he is in the office and I'm over here depressed that he gets to snuggle with Emily Blunt.

Is Jack Ryan actually a thing, though?

Like, who decided that the Tom Clancy movies have to be about this Jack Ryan guy instead of Splinter Cell? Splinter Cell is cool. (I know his name isn't Splinter Cell, but shut up, his name is Splinter Cell.)

He was great as a contractor/operator in 13 Hours, but passes as an office drone too obviously. Probably the best casting this character has had.
