TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN Renewed For Season 3 By Amazon Ahead Of Season 2 Premiere

Ahead of its second season premiere this summer, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, which stars 4x Primetime Emmy-nominee John Krasinski in the title role, has been renewed for a third season by Amazon Prime Video.

Earlier this week, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, Amazon officially announced that it had renewed Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan for its third season, set to debut in 2020.

The renewal news comes months before the series is expected to return for its second season, which should bode well for the streamer's satisfaction with the most recent chapter in the life of the storied CIA analyst. While a premiere date hasn't been announced just yet, it seems likely the series will return at the backend of the summer, presumably in August.

The upcoming second season will see Ryan (John Krasinski) travel to South America and confront the forces in power in a dangerous, declining democratic regime.

In addition to their 4x Primetime Emmy-nominated lead, John Krasinski, both Abbie Cornish and Wendell Pierce will also return as Cathy Muller and James Greer, respectively. New series regulars include Noomi Rapace, Michael Kelly, Jovan Adepo, Jordi Molla, Cristina Umaña, and Francisco Denis.

When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan features:
John Krasinski as Jack Ryan
Abbie Cornish as Cathy Muller
Wendell Pierce as James Greer
John Hoogenakker as Matice
Mena Massoud as Tarek Kassar
Noomi Rapace as Harriet "Harry" Baumann
Michael Kelly as Mike November
Jovan Adepo as Marcus
Jordi Molla as Nicolas Reyes
Cristina Umaña as Gloria Bonalde
Francisco Denis as Ubarri
Tom Wlaschiha as Max Schenkel

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan season two premieres TBD

@dracula - They said that they can't use him yet, because Paramount is going to make movies about him. But luckily that means we finally will be getting a live action Rainbow Six.

Really enjoyed season 1. My parents even loved it and they're picky as hell. Krasinski is a great leading man.

When the first season ended with them heading to Russia I was kind of hoping that they had somehow figured out a way to do a modern-day update on "the Hunt for Red October" for the next season. That would have been something.
