BALLERINA: Keanu Reeves & Ian McShane To Reprise Roles In Ana de Armas' Upcoming JOHN WICK Spin-Off

Yeah, I'm thinking he's back! It sounds like we're going to get a double dose of Mr. Wick next year as it's been confirmed that Keanu Reeves will return alongside Ian McShane for Ana de Armas' Ballerina!

While John Wick: Chapter 4 is still several months away, it looks like we already have a beat on when we should expect to see Baba Yaga next, as Collider is reporting that franchise star Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his role as the iconic assassin in Ballerina, which will feature Golden Globe-nominee Ana de Armas (Knives OutNo Time to Die) in the lead role.

Variety has since confirmed the report, while The Hollywood Reporter has added that Ian McShane will also return for the spin-off as Winston, the manager of the Continental.

While Lionsgate opted not to comment on Reeves' involvement, he and McShane have both already reported to the Prague set, where filming began earlier this week. McShane was announced by the studio, so we can probably expect him to play a comparable role to his part in the John Wick films. As for Reeves, it seems probable he'll only make a brief cameo appearance, although we'd love to be wrong because it'd be quite a treat to see him partner with de Armas.

Len Wiseman (Underworld; Lucifer) is directing, from a screenplay by Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 - ParabellumArmy of the Dead).

John Wick: Chapter 4 hits theaters on March 23, 2023; Ballerina is expected to arrive TBD 2023/2024.

They said “Blonde was horrific, we need to get butts in seats”

Damn the Wick Universe is real. This and The Continental prequel tv series.

@GhostDog - is Blonde also in the John Wick universe? Never quite got a clear answer on that one?

I'll be there Day One. Though I wish it was David Leitch directing, since he is already familiar with the world and would give it some consistency. But Wick is probably my favorite running Cinematic Franchise.

Gotta admit, I really like what the JW team has made so far! The third movie, while not the best, was still really good

I would to see a prequel of Ian McShane’s character. Have it feel like a 70s thriller.

This is getting better everytime there's ab update.

I have a feeling though with them appearing it will likely be happening along side or before the other movies.

I can't imagine them having much plot with John Wick in someone else's movie after the fact. Save his story for his solo's right? If he's still alive by the time chapter 4 is done.
