In a text message sent out to fans earlier this evening, Lionsgate officially announced the release date for a fourth chapter in Keanu Reeves'
John Wick saga. "
You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming - May 21, 2021."
Considering the fact that Chad Stahelski's critically-acclaimed
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum opened to a franchise-best $93.3 million worldwide ($56.8M domestic; $36.4M foreign), it's no surprise the studio wanted to quickly set a release date for the highly anticipated follow-up, which will presumably see the titular assassin and the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) team-up to take down the High Table.
Looking ahead at the Summer 2021 release calendar, movie fans can expect another extremely eventful summer as studios gear up for the debuts of a number of big-budget blockbusters.
