Whoa. Never knew the guy from Webster voiced the Scarecrow and didn't know about Michael Ansara's passing too. 68's not that old. I'm still depressed about Karen Black though.

Mr. Polic's association with Batman actually began indirectly way before B:TAS. In 1976, he portrayed Dracula on "The Monster Squad", which was created by Stanley Ralph Ross, who wrote for the "Batman" tv show back in the 1960s. The show aired on Saturday mornings on NBC. It also starred a pre-"Love Boat" Fred Grandy. He played Walt, a college student majoring in criminology. He worked nights as a security guard at Fred's Wax Museum. He created a "crime computer" whose vibrations brought the statues of Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man to life. To make up for their past, they became superhero crime fighters. Like the 60s "Batman" show, TMS faced off against a "Villain of the Week". Guests included former Catwoman Julie Newmar, Jonathan Harris from "Lost In Space", you get the picture. It was pretty campy. There was also a big fight scene during each episode's climax. All that was missing the "POW", "BAM", and "ZAP". You can find the show on DVD.

RIP, Mr. Polic

Rest now, Mr. Polic. You've earned it.

''Scream hosannas to Scarecrow! The all-powerful god of fear! Worship me, fools! Worship me!!''

I loved that #$%&.
