ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUAMNIA First Clip Sees Scott Lang Learn More About Cassie's Newfound Abilities

The first clip from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has been released, and it sees Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne picking Cassie up after a night behind bars. However, it also reveals some fun new details!

Marvel Studios has released the first clip from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, and it picks up with Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne dealing with the aftermath of Ant-Man's daughter, Cassie, spending a night in jail.

Along the way, we learn that she already has powers and a suit, confirming that she must have familiarised herself with Pym Particles during the five-year period Scott, Hope, Hank Pym, and Janet Van Dyne were dusted. Poor Scott is clearly struggling to keep Cassie in check after that lengthy absence from her life, but their dynamic looks set to be a fun one.

The clip ends with the reveal that the Avenger has been listening to his own book, Look Out for the Little Guy!

Yesterday, we learned that will actually be released in bookstores this September, and if the hero's reaction to being turned into a baby in Avengers: Endgame is any indication, it's going to make for a hilarious read. You can find more details on that by clicking here.

Watch the first Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania clip in the player below.

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.

Scott listening to his own book does feel like something Scott would do.

Also, Cassie was only six in the first Ant-Man? Thought she was atleast a few years older in that movie.

I hate car driving scenes when it’s obvious they’re not really driving

So from the trailer I get the impression that it's her fault they get sucked into the quantum realm. And in NWH Peter wouldn't shut the f*$k up during the casting of the spell.

These damn teenagers today!

Oh no, that was bad 😬 It feels like Rudd is playing it one way and she’s doing it another and it’s not jelling. Maybe they wanted to play up their inability to connect? Hopefully the rest works better

"she must have familiarised herself with Pym Particles during the five-year period Scott, Hope, Hank Pym, and Janet Van Dyne were dusted."

HUH?

She was 10 years old in Ant-Man 2. So the was 15 when Lang came back (5 years later).
Now it is 5 years after that so she is 20. Fine.

However you're trying to tell me that little, 10-year-old Cassie Lang had not only access to TOP SECRET Pym particles, but also was able to get access to a suit in the 5 years that Lang, Hope, Janet AND Hank Pym were all gone???

How did she get access to the suit? How did she get access to the particles?
How did she learn how to use all of those?
How did she get so amazingly smart?

Is it because the script said so?

This is what's been wrong with Marvel, propping up characters and making them skilled or smart with little to no explanation or sound reason.

And of course Cassie will have to be smarter than all of the guys because she will have to be the bestest eveerrrrr ....is is the MSheU after all.

The bad writing at Marvel is why Phase 4 was horrible.

Also, goddamn Hope’s hair is horrible. Wish they kept the first film’s look.
