Earlier this week, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, and in production notes for the threequel, we've uncovered some intriguing new details about two characters.

With it now confirmed that Ghostbusters icon Bill Murray will play Lord Krylar, an official character description reveals that he's governor of Axia, a bizarre and cushy community within the Quantum Realm.

Call him cowardly or self-centred, Krylar unapologetically enjoys the high life his status grants him - expensive meals, exotic cocktails and top-notch transportation aboard his huge pleasure yacht. It seems he and Janet are old acquaintances - but the details are vague, and she’d like to keep it that way.

Krylar is a character from the comic books, but with only a single appearance to his name in an issue of The Incredible Hulk, it's clear he's being reinvented for the MCU.

Another relatively obscure character being pulled from the Jade Giant's quirkier adventures is Jentorra. In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, she's the strong and respected leader of the Freedom Fighters - a group of displaced inhabitants in the Quantum Realm whose lives were turned upside down by Kang.

She doesn’t have time for Scott, Cassie and their problems - and worse, their presence alone puts Jentorra’s crew in grave danger. Katy O’Brian, who worked with director Peyton Reed on The Mandalorian, was tapped to portray the powerful and unrelenting warrior who’s among the first Quantum Realm residents we'll meet.

Jentorra is the sister of Jarella, a Hulk love interest who hailed from the sub-atomic kingdom of K'ai. The movie is clearly going to take a deep dive into Marvel Comics lore, borrowing characters from other Quantum Realm-like realities in order to flesh out a dimension that's only really been teased thus far.

Whether this means we can expect to see some Negative Zone denizens as well remains to be seen, but not creating a link to that universe would be a real missed opportunity, especially with Fantastic Four on the way.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania arrives in theaters on February 17.

Just looked up Katy O'Brian and DAMN she's ripped. Honestly wish she played either Thundra or Man-Killer.

So it's the haves vs the have-nots in the quantum realm? Freedom fighters?

@Matchesz - I'm still waiting to learn when enough representation is enough. Like the 50s Civil rights movement had clear goals. No more segregation, same rights and all that. Can't be based on population percentage, because black people make up 18% of movie roles despite being 12% of the US population, yet we still consider more black people in roles to be a net positive for representation.

@Matchesz - Wait until the X-Men come around buddy. There's a bunch of bad ass women on that team and for the record, that's not a bad thing.

@FilmGuy7878 - the irony is im actually lookin forward to x women, they’re my favorite female comic charactwrs. Not so much Echo, or sharon carter, or girl taskmaster or girl ghost or girl Thor. They have the best characters to represent women empowerment but at this point they’re really forcing a message down my throat

@Matchesz - Fair point. I honestly don't mind Echo or Ghost, Sharon Carter got progressively, Jane Thor was pretty annoying tbh, and I will NEVER forgive Marvel for what they did to Taskmaster, one of my favorite Marvel villains ever.

Is Jentorra really "obscure"? Isn't she Jarella's neice? Jarella is a major character in the life of the Hulk, one of his three greatest loves.

I also seem to remember seeing her quite a bit in recent comics, like Enigma Force and Skaar Son of Hulk.

I dunno. Maybe she is quite a minor character. But Jarella isn't and there's a connection there. Makes me wonder if we'll get Jarella. Maybe she can be Skaar's step-mom, now that we have Skaar?

@ObserverIO - Hold on, if Jentorra is Jarella's niece, Jarella we have to presume is dead possibly, and if Hulk remarries to Jentorra....

That's just all kinds of wrong right there lol.

Hearing both names for the first time now, so yeah, in the big picture I'd probably go with "obscure".

Isn’t this an exact doppelgänger of The Grandmaster in Ragnarok?? I really hope Marvel differentiates this more than Murray vs. Goldblum
