We're now just over three weeks away from the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Marvel Studios has shared its first behind-the-scenes featurette for Peyton Reed's threequel.

The video includes interview clips with main cast members Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as Marvel chief Kevin Feige, who explains why they decided to make Ant-Man 3 the MCU's first Phase 5 movie.

While most of the footage has carried over from the previously released trailers, there is a fun new moment with Scott Lang and his daughter Cassie right at the end.

Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

The sci-fi adventure opens in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.

@Vigor - congrats on the kid, man. Newborns are precious but I never want one again lol
StSteven

@Vigor - Easy. All you have to is leave them in your car in the parking lot of the movie theater so that you're nice and close in case you want to run out and check on them during a slow part of the movie. Now, of course you have to think about your little one's needs so you'll want to at least have the radio playing and for God's sake be sure to have the car running so they get some heat if you live in a colder part of the country. (Pro Tip: gas up BEFORE you get to the theater if you don't have a full tank). And in that case be sure that the windows are totally closed so that the heat doesn't escape.

Now, if you're REALLY being a pussy and you feel the need to coddle the kid, you can always leave a cell phone in the car on speaker phone and pop an Air-Pod in one of your ears, but then that's going to ruin the surround sound part of your cinematic experience, and you're going to get a headache trying to tune out all that crying and screaming - don't worry they'll cry themselves to sleep before the first act is over so don't get excited if there's a sudden silence (it's natural).

So follow my advice and you'll have a great movie-going experience and if you REALLY want to be "Dad of the Year" save some popcorn to bring back for the kiddo - 5 month olds LOVE popcorn. Enjoy!

@StSteven - now i wonder, if I followed your advice, and lets say there was some kind of fatal mishap... if you'd be accessory to murder 🤔
StSteven
StSteven - 1/26/2023, 5:42 PM
@Vigor - What advice? Who are you? I don't know what happened. I had been in a NyQuil induced coma waiting for "AM:Q" to come out and someone hijacked my account. I only noticed it just now because my dumbass caretakers accidentally refilled my bathtub with DayQuil instead of NyQuil. That's f**king great. Now, not only am I not going to be in a coma until the movie, now I'm going to be so jazzed up I'm going to want to remodel or repaint some part of my house for the next couple of weeks. Assholes!
StSteven
StSteven - 1/26/2023, 5:43 PM
@Vigor - (sigh) It's SO hard to find good help these days when all you want to do is to slip into a coma and have some there to clean up when you shit yourself and occasionally refill you tub. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?!?
Vigor
Vigor - 1/26/2023, 6:28 PM
@StSteven - it sure does sound like you need help!
I mean, good help 😄
StSteven
StSteven - 1/26/2023, 7:19 PM
@Vigor - Well someone is going to need to occasionally bring me food and water and change my adult diaper as I recreate the Sistine Chapel's ceiling on the ceiling of my guest room. Why? Because I've been sitting in a tub of DayQuil for a week now and I need to do SOMETHING! And because of my guests, yes all my guests, they'll want something as beautiful as the work of Michelangelo to stare up at as they're drifting off to sleep, yes, all my guests. So what do I need? I need paint, yes, LOTS of paint, and drop cloths, and brushes, oh BRUSHES! you can never have enough brushes and someone to wash the brushes and my rollers and my paint pan and...

Tragically, StSteven never finished his ceiling masterpiece as the DayQuil wore off right after he finished painting Adam's midsection around the ceiling fan in his guest room, leaving only a floating crotch with a fan sticking out of it for his "guests" to enjoy (FWIW, StSteven hasn't had any actual guests at his house since 2016, but he's SURE that they're coming any day now).

Cool to see the Wasp suit looking more and more like the comics suit. I'm not the biggest fan of sticking closely to the source, but that comic design is probably one of the greatest character designs I've ever seen.

@MyCoolYoung - unless the Tardis can make it down there some how, I doubt you'll find anything there. Guess I'll see you in five years in 2028.

Damn crazy to think 2028 is only five years away though. Feels like only five years have passed since 2013 or something.

Just give me the movie already. Any medical professionals or really good Google doctors know the best way to put myself in a temporary coma until this comes out? It's ok if it's not the safest, as long as I've got like a 50% chance of waking up on time. Work sucks, home life is fine but they'll survive without me for three weeks.

Or... do I sleep all the way until 26 and then just binge the next 3 years of Marvel stuff on Disney plus while I learn how to walk again.

This idea is getting better as I go. Let's see what webMD has to say about medically self-induced comas.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 1/26/2023, 10:00 AM
@SummersEssex - you could also just have yourself be declared dead. In a coma you still have to pay taxes, but when you're ''dead'' you don't have to

@SummersEssex - Oh that's easy. Just fill a bathtub with NyQuil, grab a straw and climb on in.

P.S. You don't have to pay taxes if you're a stable genius. Only losers pay taxes (or that's what I keep telling the IRS anyway and then they go on about some stupid shit "Blah blah blah audit yada yada yada tax evasion" (whatever those are)).
