ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Star Paul Rudd On Whether "Thanus" Theory Could Help Him Defeat Kang

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Paul Rudd has talked more about the popular "Thanus" theory, revealing whether the stunt could work on Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming threequel. Check it out...

Following 2015's Ant-Man, Paul Rudd's Scott Lang has become a firm fan-favourite among MCU fans. The character has become an incredibly important part of this shared world, though his powers have often been debated online.

For example, could the pint-sized superhero have crawled up Thanos' butt and grown into Giant-Man, destroying the Mad Titan from the inside out? It's a bizarre question, but one that has been so widely discussed, it was even addressed by Ant-Man in a video played aboard Disney's Cruise Line.

It's clearly a theory that will forever follow Rudd around, and he shared his thoughts on that during an interview with Entertainment Tonight

"I know what you're talking about, a way to kill Thanos," the actor started. "And that some people consider it a missed opportunity. Well, I guess you'll just have to see the next one."

"I don't know if you can take Kang out that way either, Kang's pretty tough, and I gotta assume all parts of him are tough."

So, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania won't end with Scott defeating Kang by crawling up his you-know-what. While it's a logical way for the hero to take down formidable foes like Thanos and Kang, we don't see future MCU movies actually featuring scenes this gross and graphic.

Maybe in Deadpool 3

Regardless, Rudd says the next Ant-Man movie is going to "be real interesting," and you can rewatch that new trailer here

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.

So the opposite of the guy on the boys, this time the intended victim feels a dump comin on, excuses himself, is heard cursing in the background, comes back n says “I’m not sure but I think I had a miscarriage”

@TheWalkingCuban - pretty much yeah. You have to remember Scott still has the density of a normal man and Thanos is taking blows from God like beings.

Scott stands no chance against the might of thanos' Supreme anus.

It’ll be interesting to see the tonal shifts in this one.

I hope the every man nature of Scott Lang and the familial aspects of the first two movies remain intact while managing to make this one more serious and with higher stakes considering its Kang’s major introduction to the MCU.

@mountainman - I think the family aspects are gonna be the backbone of this movie. The different characters probably get stuck in different places, so they have to come together again and then also fight Janet's biggest fear: Kryla.... Kang

@bkmeijer1 - Yes since it appears that the whole family will be on the adventure in the Quantum Realm, Im sure that’s the case.

Personally Im ok with the at-home aspects of the franchise - Scott’s buddies, the legal issues, etc - take a back seat. I know everyone loves Luis (I do too), but he is a bit one note.

@JonC - Thanks for the info. I couldn’t wrap my head around T’Challa as Star-Lord and never get beyond the beginning of the second episode.

If the first Ant-Man movie is anything to go by, you can actually enter the Quantum Realm in every place from our dimension. So that means that the Quantum Realm is in everybody's ass?

Look... I'm just saying... If I had this 'power' and I felt the only way to destroy someone was to enter into their body and explode them from the inside out - I'm choosing the ear. I'm just saying... Any other path "in" is just too $hitty of a route!

Kangus.
Anyway you can just shrink and go in his ear and lobotomise him. Easy.
