ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Stills Offer Closer Look At Kang The Conqueror, Jentorra, And More

Marvel Studios has released another gallery of stills from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, offering a first look at Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, a Freedom Fighter from the Quantum Realm. Check them out...

As the hype for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania continues to build, Marvel Studios has released another batch of stills from Peyton Reed's threequel.

We're particularly pleased to be able to share those recently released Empire Magazine images without any annoying watermarks, especially as that shot of Kang the Conqueror on his Time Chair is downright awesome. A couple of hi-res trailer screenshots have also found their way online, highlighting the fully suited-up big bad and Giant-Man surrounded by Kang's forces.

Marvel Studios has also dropped our best look yet at Katy O'Brian's Jentorra. In the movie, she's the strong and respected leader of the Freedom Fighters - a group of displaced inhabitants in the Quantum Realm whose lives were turned upside down by Kang.

However, he doesn’t have time for Scott, Cassie and their problems - and worse, their presence alone puts Jentorra’s crew in grave danger. O'Brian, who worked with director Peyton Reed on The Mandalorian, was tapped to portray the powerful and unrelenting warrior who’s among the first Quantum Realm residents we'll meet.

Unlike her comic book counterpart, she isn't green-skinned, though given how obscure Jentorra is, we can't imagine too many fans will be losing sleep over that decision.

Take a look at these new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania stills below.

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.

@DrReedRichards - wish Marvel had more space fantasy. They tried with the first two Thor movies, but those really fell short

@bkmeijer1 -

I understand I'm in the minority on this one, but I find even the first Thor almost unwatchable, save for Hiddleston's performance and the necessary lore being established. It's just. So. F#ckin'. Boooooriiiiing...

Now, if we talk strictly space fantasy, I'm more than happy with both Guardians' entries, especially the 2nd one. Really loved the world building in that one.

@bkmeijer1 - "they tried with the first two Thor movies" not really lol both of those movies were a half ass attempt and I actually liked the first Thor film.

@DrReedRichards - I guess you could call Guardians 2 a space fantasy, considering it has that secret heir story we often get in fantasy.

But still, I wouldn't call it space fantasy. Sure Thor calls magic just so advanced science we might as well call it magic, but it's fantasy nonetheless (throw in giants, mythical artificats and pseudo-medieval setting too).

Outside of Loki (and Selvig), the first two Thors are pretty unwatchable though. Much rather turn to Star Wars, Destiny 2 or Warhammer for space/science fantasy.

Visually I'm sure this movie is gonna look great, but I think the costume department is also doing a really good job (and not just with Kang).

Kang's costume is perfection. That's an area that usually Marvel doesn't disappoint. I know that things like Cap's Avengers 1 costume exists, but considering that we are around 30 movies in plus a few series, it's mostly more hit than miss.

@Urubrodi - I actually thought that costume was okay for what it was. I'm glad it didn't stick, but I thought it was just what he needed for THAT film

@Slotherin - The only thing I didn’t care for with Cap’s uniform in Avengers is the mask/hood and it wasn’t awful.
