In Avengers: Infinity War, we learned that Tony Stark and Pepper Potts were in the midst of planning their wedding before Thanos' attack and Iron Man could be seen making it clear he wants a baby. Bear in mind that movie and Avengers 4 were shot back to back and during an interview in an official magazine for the former, Gwyneth Paltrow may have just dropped a huge spoiler about what's next.
"Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together," Paltrow says. "She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they're married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve." Whoa, wait a second! Did the actress just reveal how Tony's story arc in the MCU ends?
It's hard to say for sure as she could just have been referencing the conversation the two heroes had in Avengers: Infinity War. However, we know that Iron Man's story arc is probably going to wrap up in Avengers 4 and him having a happy marriage and child and retiring from the hero game would be a great way to say goodbye to the hero.
