One of Avengers: Infinity War's VFX artists has revealed that the movie very nearly included a literal page to screen translation for one moment from the Infinity Gauntlet comic. Spoilers obviously follow.

Avengers: Infinity War features a lot of great moments torn straight from the comic books including Thanos' fateful decision to snap his fingers and wipe out half the universe. Now, Digital Domain VFX Supervisor Kelly Port has revealed they originally pitched a panel for panel recreation of that scene.

"As a fun aside, we explored the idea of lifting the actual graphic from the frame of the comic showing the snap, the little yellow action triangles for a single frame of the moment of the snap," he reveals. "They appreciated the idea but didn’t ultimately go for it." As cool as it would have been, it's fair to say that was probably the right decision because it could have ended up looking a little...odd.

"Weirdly enough, you would think this particular shot… this particular critical moment, would have a tremendous amount of pressure and back and forth to get it just right, but it actually went pretty smoothly," Port continued. "I asked the compositor on this particular shot how it felt to be working on one of the most important shots in Marvel history. A shot representing the culmination of ten years of story. No pressure!" Surprisingly, it played out quite simply as the screen just went white.

That "SNAP" definitely would have been cool to see on screen, though, even if it had just been a split second of small orange triangles surrounding the Mad Titan's fingers. What do you guys think? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on these remarks in the comments section down below.

The triangles are just to show the action of the snap like if someone in a comic was cold they'd draw curvy lines to show it. I wouldn't say it's iconic but cool nonetheless

Little yellow action triangles are sexy.

No. This would be as stupid as the slide whistle in Jurassic Park (at the 0:41 mark):

Nah I think the orange triangles would work only in the comic, I don't think I would change a thing about the movie version, it was flawless and beautiful in a way.
