Post-credits scenes have become a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and if they're even remotely disappointing, fans will let Marvel Studios know about it. However, it's been revealed today that Joe and Anthony Russo considered scrapping any additional material after the credits for Avengers: Infinity War, presumably because they were happy with how the movie's story wrapped up.
"It's hard to comment on that again, because we don't want to speak to the experience too specifically," Anthony said in regards to them nearly not including them. Joe, meanwhile, elaborated on that a little by adding, "It's certainly something you consider, but it's like Ant said, we wrote a letter begging the fans not to spoil the movie for each other, so we don't want to spoil it for them."
Despite how frustratingly vague those comments are, bear in mind that the Russos have said on numerous occasions that Infinity War doesn't end on a cliffhanger and that Avengers 4 is a very separate movie. As a result, it could be that there's no real need to have an after-credits scene teasing what comes next but it's hard to imagine Ant-Man and The Wasp and Captain Marvel not being teased.
