Tom Holland Weighs In On Whether Spider-Man Is Officially An Avenger In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

At the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker decided that Tony Stark was testing him when he offered the youngster membership into The Avengers. Little did he know, however, that the press was waiting on the other side of the door for him to be added to the roster but will have status have changed in Avengers: Infinity War? According to Tom Holland, Spidey is now a real Avenger!

"I think he is, yeah," the British actor reveals in the interview below. "I think he is now officially an Avenger." That would explain why he's now rocking the Iron Spider suit and seeing how the wall-crawler interacts with the rest of the superhero team promises to be a lot of fun in the Marvel movie.

As for how the Sokovia Accords will come into play, Holland couldn't offer any fresh intel in that respect. "I don't know the answer to that question because I haven't actually read the script," he admitted, alluding to the fact Marvel doesn't trust him not to inadvertently drop spoilers about Avengers: Infinity War, a release which has repeatedly been described as the culmination of the MCU.

There are plenty of other great tidbits in the video below, so be sure to give it a watch if you can!

Everytime Holland gives an interview Marvel's gotta be ready:

@L0RDbuckethead - He already possibly spoiled something about Loki at the premiere.

SPOILER WARNING!
He said he only met Tom Hiddleston the day before the premiere, meaning they never cross paths in the film, further confirming that Loki probably dies at the beginning.

@Nebula - he also said he didn't shoot scenes with Cumberbatch, there was a stand in with dots on his face.

Considering we saw a tv spot with tony flat out telling hm he's an avenger now I would say the answer is yes.

Pointless question and article

@Mrcool210 - I think it would have made more sense to at least ask if he was an OFFICIAL Avenger, or a reserve member like he was until New Avengers. And even that would have been a stupid question, because we already know he hasn't read the script, and wouldn't know the answer to that. So yeah, pointless article.

I watched his Graham Norton and i totally get why they cast him as Drake now. He fits. If that film ever gets made i really think he's gonna kill it in that role.

This type of questions are a bit silly considering his involvement. But I guess it never hurts to clear all kind of doubts.

I don’t think it’d be smart to have him as more than a reserve member yet. Can’t picture them letting him travel the world with them on a regular basis.

Im old school about him being an avenger. To me spidey is a loner. He works alone. Thats the way he use to be written. But thats just me
