AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY May See The Team Gain A Surprising New Ally - Possible SPOILERS

Another rumor relating to plans for the next Avengers movie here, and this time we have some (possible) intel on a surprising ally who could aid Earth Mightiest Heroes in their fight against Kang...

By MarkCassidy - Dec 12, 2022 12:12 PM EST

Even without any kind of insider info, the title of the next Avengers movie tells you everything you need to know about the basic premise: The Kang Dynasty will see Earth's Mightiest Heroes face-off against Kang the Conqueror and (most likely) a number of his Variants.

The hows, whys and wheres of it all remain to be seen, but we are sure to learn more as we head into Phase 5 (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will almost certainly lay some groundwork), and there have been some very interesting rumors doing the rounds over the past few weeks.

The Heavy Spoilers YouTube channel has been the main source of these rumors (their validity is obviously TBD, but previous scoops have panned out), and the show is now claiming that our heroes will gain a surprising ally in the upcoming battle: Nathanial Richards, aka He Who Remains!

We were introduced to He Who Remains in the season finale of Loki, and before he was killed by Sylvie, he claimed that he was watching over the Sacred Timeline in order to ensure his far more destructive Variants were kept in check. Upon his death, it was revealed that he was telling the truth, as the Timeline splintered and gave way to the Multiverse.

Apparently, we will meet this character in The Kang Dynasty before the events of Loki (though we know time works very differently for this guy) when he still goes by Nathanial Richards. He is said to join forces with the Avengers to take on Kang the Conqueror, and their alliance will continue on into Secret Wars when he helps the team assemble other heroes from the Multiverse.

Remember, The Kang Dynasty is still more than two years off, so none of these rumors should be taken at face value. Still, it's an undeniably intriguing prospect, we're sure you'll agree.

@HWestRE420 - Yep, there we go.

Wasn't there even a rumor that we'd see him in Quantumania?

I know this will sound stupid, but Reed Richard's GrandDad = Jonathon Majors?

Hmmmmm. There are probably going to be some big surprises coming in the MCU over the next few years.

I am intrigued.

@DocSpock -
More like great-great-great.... granddad. He lived in the 31st century, so it doesn't matter if Reed is caucasian, black or asian.
After all, a non negligeable percentage of humanity today descends from Gengis Kahn lol

@DocSpock - grandson guys he's from the future. Reeds father has the same name but his decendant does too from the future

@DocSpock - Jonathan Majors would be Reed's descendent. Meaning Reed would be Jonathan Majors' granddad. Great, great, great, great (however many greats) granddad.

In the comics Nathaniel Richard's is from the 31st century. So it would be that many generations between Reed and him.

@DocSpock - Naw different guy with same name just a mistake of identity

@CorndogBurglar -

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know the full genealogy of this whole thing.

@DocSpock - Dude, Kang is one of the most confusing and convoluted comic characters ever created lol. It's understandable.

@Kneeonbrown - honestly though at that far into the future the gene pool for him would be so mixed the genetic contribution of Reed Richard's would hardly matter anyway.

Yeah I heard that the culmination of Secret Wars will be Nathaniel Richards creating the TVA that we see in Loki, streamlining different multiverses into one

@bobevanz - Agreed. I’m old enough to remember when this site used to frown on posting rumors. Now it is the norm.

But I also find it funny that they ignore Doomcock who reports rumors all the time on YouTube. You’d think they would embrace the material, but Doomcock is not politically aligned with them so.
