AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY Star Jonathan Majors Teases Showdown With Chris Hemsworth's Thor

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty star Jonathan Majors has teased an epic showdown between Kang the Conqueror and Thor in the 2025 movie, making it clear he isn't scared to get physical with Chris Hemsworth...

He Who Remains matched wits with Loki and Sylvie in the Loki season 1 finale, but the true extent of the Multiversal villain's powers won't be on full display until Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. While that Variant has been described as a "warrior," we've been led to believe he's also the Kang the Conqueror who will serve as the Multiverse Saga's big bad.

Jonathan Majors has an exciting few years ahead in the MCU, with multiple versions of his character bound to take centre stage in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (the clue is in the title).

During a recent interview with Nerdbunker, the actor was asked which hero he's most excited to pit Kang against. "I think we have to start with Thor," Majors teased. "Yeah, come on. Bring it."

"I’m not afraid of Chris Hemsworth," he added when the interviewer said he'd pass the message on next time he speaks with the Thor: Love and Thunder star. "You see what you done now? You see what you done?" And with that, the stage may well have been set for one of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty's most epic battles!

Of course, it won't be down to Majors, though we're sure he'll have some input.

The movie will reunite him with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness, while Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings helmer Destin Daniel Cretton is stepping behind the camera to direct. Little in the way of plot details have been revealed, though the expectation is that a new team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble to battle Kang.

Majors got jacked for Creed III, so we're sure he'll look suitably formidable no matter who he faces. How do you think the time-traveller will fare against the God of Thunder, though?

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to be released on May 2, 2025!

Haven’t been this excited to see a villain on screen in a while, and likely won’t be until they introduce Doom.

Makes it sound Thor will lose this fight.

@DoubleD - What if I told you Thor’s already lost this fight?

@DoubleD - I would believe you that's who Kang is. Thor will end up losing or there wouldn't be much of a Avengers: The Kang Dynasty movie.

@PlusUltra - Yeah, but a beaten Thor can also be a dangerous thing.

...Or a danger to himself.

My excitement has been killed by MyTimeToShine.

She's usually on the money. Except for when she's talking about DC Studios, obvs.

Honestly, Kang taking down one of the OG Avengers would be a pretty interesting way to start Kang Dynasty.

@bkmeijer1 - Yeah, infinity war vibes by getting rid of Loki and Heimdall in the first 5 minutes. Sounds good. Plus we know OG's days are quite numbered from those who are left.

If Kang takes out Thor first then he'll have to face Love's wrath.
