Ok so by now I’m pretty sure we've all seen The Avengers but just in case you haven’t be warned that there will be spoilers.

To start things off I'll give a mini review of The Avengers. So I went to watch the movie with people who are not considered comic book fans. Some of them have seen all of the previous movies others haven’t but after the movie they were all buzzing about the Avengers. They each had a character they considered their favorite and each one had a different favorite. What was the last super hero team up movie to do that? There are none. Almost everyone’s favorite character in X-Men (the movies not comics) is Wolverine and that’s because he was the only one who had a story arc. That’s not the case in Avengers each hero is there for a reason and that makes for a truly entertaining movie. Joss Whedon really had his fingerprints all over this movie it’s like Marvel gave him Avengers toys and let him film himself while playing with them. It gets a 5/5 from me best Marvel movie yet.

We all geeked out when this guy popped up on the screen. Who saw this coming? I mean is Marvel really introducing Thanos to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Now this raises a couple questions for me. One of them being how will Marvel use him? Will he be hinted at in Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2? That little mid credits scene cant be the only time we see Thanos until Avengers 2 can it? Some people even say that Thanos should be saved for the third Avengers and have Ultron be the villain for the second. I'll share my thoughts about this later. Now on to the future solo movies.

Iron Man 3

I can't believe were on the third Iron Man movie already. Seems like just yesterday when Iron Man was considered a B-list character. Most movie franchises end as a trilogy. Which makes me wonder will this be the last Iron Man movie? As a comic book fan I never want them to end but from a regular fan's point of view three might be enough. You can't honestly believe that the average fan wont get sick of Iron Man after 6 or 7 movies. Dont worry Tony will be back for the Avengers 2 and 3. Kevin Fiege told us that he's very excited about the story for this flick and I can hardly wait.

Thor 2

Even though Thor had the least amount of screen time out of the Avengers big 4 he was by far the most bad ass. That's why im excited about this film. I do have a couple questions though: Who will be the villain? Most fans seem to think it will be Enchantress and I agree with them. It would make for a really good story and just makes sense with the news that Loki will be in Thor 2. Another question I have is about Loki. Its been confirmed that Loki will be in Thor 2, now that leads me to ask how much more movies will Loki be in? Tom Hiddleston is a great Loki but with Thanos being introduced I feel its time to move on from Loki and have Thor 2 finish his story off. Just my opinon and I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for it.

Captain America 2

We have the least details about this movie because it's the furthest away. I personally would like to see Bucky come back as the Winter Soilder in this movie because it will make for a real emotional movie. Just imagine Cap is still recovering from the fact everyone he loved is dead until he finds out Bucky is alive. Only to realize that Bucky has been brain washed and is now your enemy. Fiege said that this movie will have the most SHIELD input so hopefully we get some cameos and background stories from Black Widow and Hawkeye.

That's all I have for now but stay tuned for part 2 where I'll discuss Ant-Man, Hulk, and the Avengers 2! Please comment below, Im new to writing these type of articles so any advice would be appreciated. Also Id like to hear some of your guys answers to my questions.

Great article! I agree with you on just about everything except for the regular fans viewing of 6 or 7 Iron Man films. I mean, if you look at long running series' (James Bond, Harry Potter, Batman, etc) you can tell people aren't really bored by that point. I realize that the examples I gave have either come to an end or rebooted, or retooled. But still, the point is valid.

As long as there are interesting stories to tell, and Iron Man - hell all Marvel characters - has them, people will be ecstatic to see the movies.

Finish him off are you [frick]ing high, he's one of the most complex character the mcu has. They should take inspiration from journey in yo the mystery and kid loki start redeeming him some what an anti hero. Loki's and Thor's relationship is far more interestong than the big guys relationship with jane or sif. so finishing him off would be one of the biggest mistake.

@DocHorrible- You make a great point but James Bond and Batman had some rough years when their movies weren't great. Harry Potter always had a plan.

@brazillianbatman- I could see 6 movies working. Also on your Cap point, I've always liked that idea. They could put Peggy and Winter Soilder in the 2nd but I wouldn't mind if they decided to save Bucky for the third.

@Hellsing- Let me make it clear that I said finish his stir off not finish Loki off. While it may be true that Loki is complex I'd like to see other Thor villains. I wouldn't mind seeing Loki in exile using the Enchantress to carry out his plans. I do not want to keep seeing Loki as the main villain even though Hiddleston's Loki is great.

Like I said he doesn't have to be the villain, it doesn't say any where that just because Loki's in the movie that he has to be involved with the villain some how. What makes the character so complex is he could easily help thor as easily he would like to kill him. Should he be front and centre in the next movie no, but should he be in [frick] yes

@Hellsing- The only point I was trying to make was that other Thor villains should be used. I didn't say don't put him in the movie at all just that his story arc should be finished. Give him a new story arc.

BooYah Good write up. I would like them to build up to Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet over a period of time. I'd like them to use some other villains such as Ultron, Masters of Evil, etc. before they do Thanos with the Gauntlet.

On Thor, I don't see why it has to stop there, much like Iron Man doesn't have to be a trilogy. Even if the actors get too old or something, it doesn't mean we can't continue the universe. A lot like Bond. Much as if we wanted to we could have Avengers 20 or something. I honestly don't know if people understand the scope of this. This is a franchise which is so huge it's ridiculous. All we've seen right now is pretty much an introduction to all these characters, introducing each of the characters, then introducing them as a team. From now on we'll actually be getting to the meat of the stories (Although since only perhaps a 4th of the Avengers characters have been introduced in this universe, there will be several more origins which need to be done. So even now it's still sort of just introducing us to the universe.)

So yeah. That's a lot of stuff they need to do. Great write up though. Bring on the rest of the MCU! :D

I was just thinking bout this very stuff. my thoughts are:
- aside from IM 3, Thor 2 and Cap 2, they should have a SHIELD movie (that also features Ruffalo as Banner) that will branch out to three solo movies, Ant-Man, Black Panther and a new Hulk movie.

not all four have to be mega budgeted. both SHIELD and Black Panther can be done with a budget less than $100 mil. (maybe around $65-75 million). they can keep the special visual f/x to a minimum, since the characters would mostly be normal sized and not flying. very minimal cg, compared to the avengers.

The SHIELD movie can show how Dr. Stern's character, who's gonna be The Leader (Hulk's enemy), to escape and set abomination free from Gen. Ross' custody. his goal is to use banner to create an army of hulks.

this whole business with banner and his other self can then be resolved in a new solo hulk movie.

the shield movie also can preview a Black Panther movie by showing how the leader stealing vibranium from wakanda to create a weapon to fight the hulk with.

a panther solo flick would be about how t'challa is trying to recover the stolen vibranium and set things straight between wakanda and the u.s., whom he suspects to be behind the theft.

with the pyms, they can show, also in the shield movie, that they are shield main scientist couple, aiding banner and fury. the shield movie will have fury, widow and hawkeye as the leads, thus, we can learn more bout their backstories in this.

THEN, we can have an avengers 2.

marvel has already said that they intend to recast the roles for avengers as needed. what really gets us all so excited about what marvel has done is the directions that they can go in and the way they can introduce a character. some one can make an apperance in im3 or ca2 and then be in the avengers 2 or vice versa. the dynamicof the avengers allows for character and story introduction anytime the creators want. and as they showed with black widow and hawkeye, they dont need their own movie to bring their origin to light.
