With the success of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now topped the Harry Potter franchise as the highest grossing franchise in domestic history. The total gross of the MCU is a whopping $2.46 billion, just coming shy of the Harry Potter franchise's $2.39 billion. What do you guys think about this amazing accomplishment? Sound off below!

Well deserved. I was a little let down with Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 but Captain America 2 definitely raised the bar for Marvel again. I loved every second of The Winter Soldier and I thought it was the best Marvel movie to date, and in my top 3 favorite superhero movie of all time. I wonder what WB/ DC are thinking of this right now.
I feel that if Avengers 2 is even bigger and better than the first one, Batman and Superman might get hit really hard in the ass come May 2016.

Yeah it should be by now,
Lord of the Rings (counting the hobbits): six movies -five so far.
Harry Potter: 8 movies.
Star Wars: 6 about to be 7.
X-Men (counting the Wolverine spinoffs): 7 when Days of Future past comes out.
Marvel: 9 about to have 12 by the time Ant Man comes out.
