The five-year build-up to Marvel's The Avengers box office-spectacle has favorably concluded "phase one" of the Marvel cinematic universe; with "phase two" well underway. And now a chance to own all six movies as a collector's set is coming on blu-ray, according to Amazon. The online retailer has listed what's being called Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled . Check out details and slipcase cover below!

(10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector's Set) [Blu-ray]
• Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray)
• The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray)
• Iron Man (Blu-ray)
• Bonus Disc - “The Phase One Archives” (Blu-ray)

I think the cool looking box is under the sheet in the ad.

Nicely done. I'm looking forward to the release, but I'm more excited by the title, "phase one." I'm thinking they'll reach at least phase III, what do you think?

I'm sure it coming out 5 days before The Dark Knight Rises is no coincidence either too. Unless i'm reading that wrong.

I bet this'll run around $150-$175. Am I willing to pay that much for the Avengers Blu Ray, Phase one archives, and a cool box?

Maaaybe if it comes with mini (about 6-8 inches) props of Cap's shield, Thor's Hammer, and a battery powered Tesseract in an aluminum case.

But to pay that much for only The Avengers and Phase One discs in a cool box, little overboard. I mean, this is for super fans, and how many super fans haven't bought all 9 of these movies? I bet it's a very small #.

The only thing that might sell a few more copies of this is if all us fans bombard Ebay with blu ray combo packs for like $12-$15 each and shave $50-$90 off the price.

I agree with the post about adding Spirit of Vengence. Not sure if it's Marvel Studios, and I thought it was pretty bad in theaters, but I'm gonna get it anyways.

Hate gimmick boxes for home video, makes the collection look tacky. Rather my movies be in normal individual boxes rather than some novelty container taking up extra space!

The only reason that I would hesitate to get is that the TIH brings down the value some. Still will probably get it though.
