Too bad it's not airing on ABC; it'd be better exposure for Marvel. Although, Disney's ploy is probably to get more subscriptions to XD and later on release it onto ABC a few months before Avengers hits theatres.

animation is a bit lackluster,
but looks like it can be phenomenal,

I hate it. Not because of the reason some may think. I just have to watch more and more. I felt the same with WatX first trailer.

I thought United They Stand was epic. Ultron was the main villain, the team's adventures were good, and Ant-Man made a good leader.

This looks awesome! It even looks like they have Cap, Black Panther, and Hawkeye join the team later, as they did in the comics. Characters, music, action all look great to me. Hopefully, they will let Cap work into the leadership role as the series goes on.

While I know the comics can't be perfectly translated and that you do have to make adaptations for another medium, there is a reason that those stories are considered CLASSICS.

I like how the news paper in the beginning showed something about The Punisher & Man Thing.

This does indeed look much better than United They Stand or Brave and the Bold for that matter. Now granted, the title song is shit and it does not come close to the DC On Line trailer Grif put up. But you want to know the difference maker here? Marvel is actually making individual movies for all their heroes. Iron-man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk. Then they are actually uniting those characters for an Avengers movie. DC is making one last Nolan Batman, a Superman reboot and a Green Lantern movie. Though we have heard that a Flash and WW movie are in very early stages of development, we are still not guaranteed nothing but 3 DC movies.

You see, my problem with how DC does things is this. Rather than spend several years developing one of the best Superhero video games ever made, why not in conjunction spend the time. money and dedication in developing the movies? As we all know, one of the best marketing ploys is to have a movie and a video game attached to it. But instead we only get a game that makes us all wish it was the movie we've all been dreaming and waiting for. Personally I love the DC characters, but I hate how they take their time developing their movie properties. Come on DC! How much longer must we have to wait?

There are quite a few things that I like about this. I like the possible scope of this story. It seems like they're going for an epic storyline using Marvel's top-shelf Avengers stalwarts (sans Spider-man and Wolverine: probably a good thing). They are also using the classic Avengers characters such as Hawkeye, Wasp, Giant-man, etc. The animation is not that bad. It's not quite up to the quality of the Timm studios but perhaps with time that will change. This is going to be good but it could become great.

That leads to a few problems. With Marvel (with Disney pulling the strings) relegating this series to Disney XD there are automatically quit a few people "locked-out" of seeing this cartoon. Not all providers carry XD and for the adults interested in this cartoon few are spendthrift enough to subscribe to a channel just for one cartoon! I got bills to pay!

And yes that "theme" song stinks! It's like the worst of Green Day meets Nickelback: pure twee-rock crap! Boy-band cum rock music wannabe garbage! C'mon! Teenagers, even "tweens", know what's good and what's not. There is always going to be a vanguard of kids who discover that the likes of the Who, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and even Metallica (EARLY Metallica) created, by-and-large, powerful compelling music that, yes, had a commercial aspect yet still provided mighty, strong and somewhat subversive themes. A kick-butt background for at least some independent thought as well as true teen rebellion! Then there was the REAL punk rock but don't get me started on that. This stuff is just "Big Time Rush" crapola! I bet even my 8 year old knows this!

So in other words, putting this thing just on XD as well as Marel and Disney "dumbing it down" for tweens are both bad ideas. Kids are often way smarter and way more savvy than they seem. They know quality! Plus, give this cartoon to us adult geeks as well!

If this Avengers cartoon at least matches the Justice League cartoons in epic scope and quality then Marvel will finally have something great in it's animation catalog. This will also prove the viability of the Disney/ Marvel partnership.

I'm also forgetting the rousing, John Williams style background music that is used in the first half of this clip. Now THIS is some Avengers theme music! Larger-than-life, epic and tasteful! The type of music that doesn't insult the audiences intelligence.

Also... I'd like to know who's going to write for this show. For instance Warren Ellis wrote for the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. Plus Timm and Co. adapted an Alan Moore story for that show.

everyone the show is for kids what do you expect out of it sure it looks a bit shaky but i think for a kids show its really good and the song well yeah could have been better but hell the kids are loving it. as for the story line i think its pretty good so far no major mishaps and the animation well at least its more definitive and detailed then most shows that come out now a days and hey why just this avengers i mean look at the one cartoon network has "Super Hero squad show" now that worse then this by a long shot they look like midgets on steroids no offense to most people out there but seriously you have to admit the new avengers show is really good so far for a kids show.
Plus im kinda of liking the music my self i think it goes with the show well.
