At the premiere of his brother, Liam Hemsworth's The Last Song, MTV caught up with Chris Hemsworth. Who we all know by now as Marvel's Thor. He talks about the Captain America casting of Chris Evans, (which Marvel has yet to official confirm), and louis leterrier directing The Avengers.



"Fantastic," Hemsworth told MTV News when asked how he feels about Evans being named the "Captain America" lead. "I just found out the other day."

Though we all know Marvel has yet to confirm Chris Evans as Cap, there is NO way they would let the supposed rumor travel this far. Therefore its obviously official.

The only thing that's a little irritating about this is that he doesn't seem to be voicing much of an opinion on the possible directors, but I get it. He doesn't want to say he'd love one of them, but end up working with a different director.

it is really sad when the commercial is longer than the vid you are waiting to watch.

in lihgter news, i am so RELIEVED to find out that Chris Evans is a bloke.
i would be upset if they had cast a woman for the role of a man!

I was actually gonna post this an hour ago when I saw it but was afraid it would just get deleted because it had to do with Cap casting. LOL! I hear Hemsworth say "yeah I heard the rumor, if true he'd do a good job I'd like to give him a bloke."

For real though if he's got it he's got it. I'm sure he'll do a bang up job. I'm sure it'll be like fantastic 4 meets the wolfman. Now if we can only get Kiera Knightly involved we can complete this master piece. No reason For Chris Evans or anyone else involved in THAT movie not to say so right?

Man one of these reporters hounding Chris on a daily basis has got to get him to say on the record something to the effect like he's excited to play captain america or something.

Now that's over with, it seems as if the possibility that CE will be Cap is greater. I personally don't care that much for that Cap movie. Unfortunatly :(. The film I'm looking most forward to is the GL film because there really isn't a day where we don't get GL news. So it keeps me interested in the film. While we get Thor news once every month or so. They (marvel) gotta step it up and release some images. I mean who here doesn't want to see at least one picture of Chris as Thor? I certainly do! :)

Hmm....so I wonder how many more weeks till we finally see some decent Thor set pics. I just hope that some time soon they release a image that is soo epic that we'll all be in shock for the next couple days. :)

PETE: We get Clash of the Titans the same day in the UK! Man, it used to be we were weeks behind you guys but now we're either at the same time or earlier (16 days with Kick-Ass and a week with Iron Man 2!)

On a seperate note, just watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the first time...I actually thought it was pretty good!

Anyway, I'm off - it's 4am in the UK but at least that means it's only 30 more hours until I see Kick-Ass! :D
