Mark Ruffalo, the actor who will play both Bruce Banner and the Hulk (through motion-capture technology), has just tweeted that there is a possibility that the Hulk might be showing off his birthday suit in Marvel Studios' 2012 film The Avengers. Here is the exact tweet:



Now keep in mind that this tweet could be a joke as a response to the recent Avengers promo poster where the Hulk appears to be wearing no pants.

Bull Crap! Knowing that it will be most likely PG13, they will go with him having something similar to abomination,, which works for that character, but not the Hulk... I really hope they decide to not screw with things and just keep his damn pants on

If Hulk is actually part of the team, and not just a mind controlled puppet who later turns against his controller and fights with the Avengers, you'd think that SHIELD would get him some really fancy stretchy pants of some sort.

I figure he would have transformed into the hulk enough times by now to know to wear spandex underoos. But seeing the Green Giant batting away Hawkeye's arrows with his dilly would be hilarious.

@kevberg I for sure see the changes in the Pictures that you are talking about..
There is a conspiracy here.
I think the more high def one is the original,
It looks like for the poster they moved hulk down a bit, Hawkeye up a bit and tried to make it appear more like pants, and hide Hulks groin.



If you notice the licensing poster has been cropped and the buildings changed, also the part on Thor's cape you mentioned just looks badly photoshopped in the poster. They also took the lightning out from behind Hulk. Like you suggested, I think they manipulated it to hide Hulks visible groin from the people at that event.

You can still barely see hulks pant leg in the high def one, there is a little grey spot with wrinkles just under thors cape. I'm pretty sure that is his pants.

i watched a bootleg copy of "hulk" years ago & just after he'd taken out the tanks.

there was a glitch on the disc it went all blocky & the hulk lost he's trousers & you get to see his big green ass for a brief couple of seconds.

Ang Lee wanted Hulk naked (no surprise there) but they couldn't make it work, trying to hide his green bits, it reminded too much of that scene in Austin Powers.

The Hulk was naked in the Ang Lee film. The Hulk has been nude MANY times in the main stream continuity. The Hulk is almost Always naked in the Ultimates! He will most likely be nude in the beginning and later on be given some new tights from Shield.
