I saw this piece in the Charlotte Observer. The Movie has ties to Charlotte. Batman is fun to read, but the person and the ideal of Batman is a great motivation to many out there.

Only time superman was inspiring was when he was dead lol. U see batman is visually appling for kids , so they like him more than others. Good example is Batkid, when asked why he likes batman didn't have a reason he just liked him. For kids they don't care whether he is a psychopath

I think what Jordanking and Prime are missing is that people see in Batman the idea that an ordinary man with no powers can stand up and fight forces bigger and more powerful than they are. Now granted he has a nice bank roll behind him to help, but his drive and determination to fight the odds when he is just a man is what people see as inspiring.
Guess they have never had to fight against things greater then themselves.
