Looks like they're setting up for another Batman vs. Bane confrontation.

Bale is so skinny that the Batsuit is too big for him. Look at the pouch the suit is making in the first and third pics because he can't fill it out! It also shows no definition whatsoever. smh

Batman is skinny because he is ****ing Batman. He spends every single night fighting criminals, and he doesn't get much sleep.

It's hard to put on muscle; it's even harder to keep it. You have to get plenty of rest; eat right and work out regularly. In real life, there is no way Batman could look like a body builder. Nolan even acknowledged this in BB and TDK to explain why Nolan was skinnier in the second half of BB and TDK.

Good point in the Knightfall series Bruce was becoming physically and emotionally exhausted before he fought Bane. Being burnt out is something Nolan would do in a Batman movie. Maybe by the time The Dark Knight Rises takes place Bruce is just on the edge and is losing weight. Plus Bale has had plenty of physical changes in tons of movies in the past year it probably is not healthy for him to change so much and shouldn't push it.

I believe it was in the special features of BB or TDK. He does say that somewhere. Bale got too big for BB. Nolan didn't like his size at first when he showed up for filming, but he went ahead to film the first parts of the movie, anyway, and had Bale lose some weight before actually donning the bat-suit.

...that's why Bale looked ALOT skinnier in TDK than he did at the beginning of BB.

Nolan wanted to show how physically exhausting and unhealthy it was to be Batman. Hence the early scene of him taking off his shirt to reveal his skinny bruised up body and his sleeping during that meeting with Lau.

Keaton was scrawny and noone ever seems to notice. At his "skinniest" Bale is still 10 times bigger than any previous Batman.

That's utterly stupid. Just because No-lan doesn't have the discipline it takes to maintain a physique like that does not mean that no-body can. Just look at all of your professional athletes. They maintain that body for years, does it take hard work? yes it does but that is why Bruce Wayne is Fuggin Batman and every other guy who doesn't want it that much is just another schmo. That dedication to be that strong, fierce, intelligent and that good of a detective has ALWAYS been the trademark of Batman, otherwise he's just a freak in a bat costume with daddy issues.

Idk what everybody is complaining about with muscle mass. There is a lot more to be strong that being bulky. Sure Bale was huge BB but Bale said even before they started filming TDKR that he would be as fit as an Olympic athlete. The key word was Fit not huge. In all realism to have the right balance of agility, strength, and flexibility it wouldn't make sense in realistic terms for Batman to be an over sized wrestler. You don't see men in the military necessarily huge especially in war they actually lose a lot of weight, which is what Macksimus is trying to point out that Batman is fighting a war which he has no time to eat or sleep a good amount. Plus I bet Bale is bigger than any of you

Can't stand the current Bat-suit. Needs to be a complete overhaul for next trilogy. I am very worried that Batman is being filmed in BROAD DAYLIGHT. A major mistake Nolan made in the last movie. Funny, he filmed BB perfectly. Batman was almost always in shadow and lit well. Most of the time in TDK he was not lit well and looked ridiculous. Just look at the interrogation scene. It looked like two guys at a Halloween party talking at a table. Got a BAD feeling about this movie. I pray I'm wrong. Gotta give Nolan the benefit of the doubt though.
