Bedford Today is reporting that signs directing people to Shed Number Two at Cardington airship sheds are appearing across the countryside, bearing the letters RFK. Directing traffic off the southern bypass through Shortstown, the RFK most definitely stands for Rory’s First Kiss, the codename adopted by the producers for the Dark Knight.

Rory is apparently the name of director Christopher Nolan’s son, and RFK has been well used so far throughout the filming, from casting offers onwards.

Bedfordshire was where Batman Begins built their massive Gotham City set, which was left standing after the filming of the first movie in Nolan’s revision of the classic hero movies.

According to reports from the Times and Citizen, dog handlers are making their way over from the US for one sequence, said to involve a chase scene with the Batmobile.

Batman the Dark Knight is expected to open in cinemas on the 18th of July, 2008.
