Man of Steel is so grossly underrated.

It's actually quite upsetting. :(

@TheNiceGuyCast - Yeah people can bash on the dialogue. But it was a visual masterpiece.....IMO

@BatfanAZWI - There are a few lines that always stick out to me as clumsy and ill-placed, but that doesn't take away from the overall effect of the film for me, or its high points. MOS is far from perfect, but remains one of my top favorite comic book movies to date because of the depth of its worldbuilding and its lack of apology for trying to bring a superhero into a reality that resembles our own.

WELL, I hated that they went the dark knight route with Man of Steel, that was my main gripe with the movie. It still can't touch Richard Donner's Opus.

I didn't particular care for Man of Steel's, Dark and Gloomy style. The fact that no one smiled, or at least there was very little smiling, bored the hell out of me. There was no joy in that movie. Even, what should have been the most joyous part of the movie, Superman's first flight, lacked sheer joy. Think harry Potter flying on the Hippogrif for the first time, how jubilant he was. Superman's first flight should have been like that, but it wasn't. It was just okay.

Don't hate Man Of Steel,I just don't think its as good as the trailers made it out to be.

Man Of Steel 3/5

As for Batman V.Superman:Dawn Of Justice it looks miles better from the trailers alone.

I think that this type of rationale is trite and condescending, and it isn't the type of thing that a journalist should be peddling, IMO. Point blank, if it's as bad as MoS, then yes, I won't like BvS, but if it's much, much better, then I will. I disliked the first Hellboy, but The Golden Army was sublime. Some of us are a little bit more complex than these assumptions make us out to be.
