Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doesn't hit US theaters until tomorrow (or later tonight, depending on your location), but Marvel Studios' final Phase 4 feature has been rolling out overseas since Wednesday, and it's off to a strong start at the international box office.
According to Deadline, Ryan Coogler's emotionally-charged sequel took in $10.1M from 17 international markets, including France, Germany, Italy and Korea. In like-for-likes, these numbers put Wakanda Forever ahead of DC's Black Adam and The Batman, but below the first Black Panther and the most recent MCU movie, Thor: Love & Thunder.
As things stand, Black Panther 2 is expected to take in upwards of $365 million globally over the course of its opening weekend.
The review embargo lifted on Tuesday (you'll find our verdict here), and Wakanda Forever is currently "certified fresh" at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
