BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Screenplay Includes Cut Easter Eggs, Deleted Scenes, And Proper Gay Kiss

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever screenplay has surfsced, and it includes some unexpected Easter Eggs, a scrapped Everett Ross subplot, and a big step forward for representation that was scrapped...

The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever script has found its way online (via u/IronMan_MarkLXXXV on Reddit), and it's quite a bit different from the movie we watched in theaters last November.

For example, do you remember the resurfaced set photos we recently shared showing a near-unrecognisable Everett Ross? Well, those were from a subplot that would have seen Martin Freeman's CIA agent go undercover as a British agent, so fingers crossed at least some of it is included as a deleted scene on the eventual Blu-ray release.

Also noteworthy is a conversation between Ross, Shuri, and Okoye in which Roxxo and Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. both receive a quick mention.

Other changes include Valentina Allegra de Fontaine learning of Talokan's existence near the end of the movie and Riri Williams leaving Wakanda with Shuri's new A.I. Clearly, the plan was for that to explain how the M.I.T. student was going to have her own artificial intelligence sidekick in the upcoming Ironheart TV series before the idea was scrapped.

Something that also seems worth a mention is the fact that, in the script, Ayo and Aneka talk more about their relationship before sharing a proper kiss. In the movie itself, we saw little more than a peck on the forehead and got only a hint that they're romantically involved, another example of disappointing LGBTQ+ representation in the MCU.

That's not entirely Marvel Studios' fault, of course, as Disney continues trying to avoid both the wrath of certain groups and the risk of its movies being banned in various countries.

There's a lot to uncover in this screenplay for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - the Marvel Studios fanfare, for example, was going to have news reports addressing T'Challa's death playing over it - and you can check it out here.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now playing in theaters and is set to premiere on Disney+ on February 1.

@bkmeijer1 - it's rooted in some truth though no?
Some countries lose their cot damn minds at even the hint of gayness in a movie. Then ban tbe movie from being in their borders. That's missing out on millions of dollars of revenue.

I think that's what the writer (assuming it's Josh. I don't feel like scrolling up) is getting at

@bkmeijer1 - I mean, why else would disney keep relegating "gay" moments to easily cut out scenes while also patting themselves on the back for their first gay character 20 times.

"a proper gay kiss"....if the two women who are in a relationship where to have kissed...it would have been "a proper kiss"...a kiss should be labelled as a kiss, just like a wedding should be labelled as a wedding...there are rarely "couples" shown in comic movies...and if they are, there should be no reason not to have them show affection for each other...unless they are trying to kill each other, but there you go...lol

Garbage like this is why they feel the need to bring back RDJr and Jackman. The DMCU has a huge following, which is why their movies make money. Does it equal quality? No. Not always. There has been a huge drop in quality of all their media since Endgame. I suppose that was a fitting title to the movie, in the end.

Proper gay kiss? Trademark of every family friendly Disney movie.

Disney use to be a company that if they released a movie, you knew it would be alright for the whole family, now you have to watch them before showing them to younger kids.

@marvel72 - whether it’s a gay kiss or hetero kiss shouldn’t really matter these days, but including a gay kiss specifically would have been obvious pandering. I can hardly think of any kissing in the MCU regardless of sexual preference so the inclusion of a kiss between side characters would feel forced.

@marvel72 - Disney cartoons have been kissing this whole damn time. What are you on about?

@marvel72 - are you afraid your kids will catch the gay if they witness a gay kiss?
