Black Panther is set to grace theaters next week, but before that director Ryan Coogler was quizzed by Collider on the 'Special Thanks' that Donald Glover and Stephen Glover recieved in the credits for the film

Coogler confirms that the brothers read the initial draft of Black Panther , "Donald and Stephen actually gave me notes on a draft . They came in and read the draft. Right before we started the shoot, and they had some cool insight."

Coogler did explain their contributions were not major ones though, at that they just helped with some of the humor in the film. "It wasn't that kind of a thing where it was 'change this, change that.' We were looking at ways to add a few more character things with specifically Shuri, where she pokes fun at her brother. Donald's one of the funniest people that I know, so he had some interesting ideas, and Stephen's crazy talented as well."

Donald Glover is no stranger to the Marvel world, having been part of the inspiration for Miles Morales, as well as voicing his character in the animated Ultimate Spider-Man series anbd playing his uncle, Aaron David, in last year's Spider-Man: Homeocming

A part of me kind of hopes that maybe Glover writes a Marvel movie. Maybe even a Miles Spidey film. The dude is incredibly talented, and apparently he's slowing down on his music career anyways, why not capitalize on your Marvel connecs, especially since he's already playing Miles' uncle.

@ScarletWarlock - I've also heard his show, Atlanta, which is also co written by his brother, is really good. Plus I would be curious to see how he would write a role for himself or this version of Spider-Man.

@ScarletWarlock - Yep, he is retiring Gambino after one final album. As for Atlanta, it is one of the best shows on TV currently.
Him actually writing a Marvel film would be interesting, but I'm looking forward to his Deadpool series as well

@Armageddon26 - That Deadpool series does sound dope. But just the fact that he's a good actor in the Marvel fold, but he's already in bed with them, and they clearly have bigger plans for him in the future. It would just feel like a shame that they don't utilize the rest of his talents, especially since I just feel he would be greatly suited to something like Miles. I mean, he's part of Miles legacy considering Bendis was inspired by him to create a POC Spider-Man, so I just feel it would be appropriate. Either way, I'm glad the dude is working, because he's putting in the time and getting good results.

@ScarletWarlock - Him writing a Miles movie would be cool. You know what they say: "If you can't play the part, write it." OK, that's not actually a thing most people say. But [frick] it, I'm saying it now, and that's what matters. You know what I mean?

@MUTO123 @ScarletWarlock - I was extremely disappointed to hear he didn't have any sort of writing or input in the upcoming animated Miles movie
