Captain America: Brave New World, formerly known as New World Order, has wrapped filming.

Cinematographer Kramer Morgenthau took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing a much better look at the movie's updated logo in the process.

The fourth Captain America movie started shooting on March 21 at Trilith Studios, Atlanta, before moving to Washington, DC. The ongoing WGA strike ended up impacting several other Marvel Studios productions, but Brave New World managed to avoid any significant delays (although its release date was pushed back by a few months).

We've seen quite a few set photos over the past few weeks, some of which featured members of the villainous group known as the Serpent Society. We also got a look at Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) suited-up in his new Cap costume, and Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) sporting a fairly comic-accurate outfit as the MCU's new Falcon.

Specific plot details are still under wraps, but now that filming has wrapped, we may begin to learn a little more about Sam Wilson's first big-screen outing as the Sentinel of Liberty.

Captain America: Brave New World also stars Shira Haas as Israeli superheroine Sabra, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader, and Harrison Ford as "Thunderbolt" Ross.

The movie is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.

The Falcon hated the idea of being an Avenger, feeling like he was hired based on some quota by the government (In this case Disney):


The Falcon also hated the idea of taking Captain America's title, viewing it as an insult to his own legacy and development. He's rejected that mantle multiple times to retake his own mantle as Falcon. There's also an older version of the below image where he specifically states that, but it's tricky to track down through decades of comics:



TF&TWS very briefly touches on this, him rejecting the mantle, only that is handle more as him not being worthy and being dumbed down to be too stupid to realize someone else would take up the mantle if he rejected it.

In comics and media, he only ever becomes Captain America because they believe he'll be more marketable, more easy to sell if he's wearing the mantle of an established white character.

Personally, I favor Sam Wilson as Falcon he was an established and likable character without having to resort to carrying someone elses mantle. Ever since gaining the title in the MCU they've done everything they can to make it about race rather than character development or story - in the process destroying anything likable about Sam Wilson, having him directly defend acts of terrorism and forgetting what made him unique by effectively making him do a superhero act of lifting a truck.

I think the only part of my remark you could view as an opinion is 'he only ever becomes Captain America because they believe he'll be more marketable' however even that was supported by those who wrote the comics who stated that they do these things for increased sales or cross-marketing with films/shows.

@TheWalkingCuban - I saw Buff Bagwell wrestle in Nashville a few years back. It was . . . not great. Eric Bischoff was there, too. Tracey Smothers wrestled a bear (well, had a dance off with a guy in a bear costume.) It was a whole thing.
