Film London have posted a report on their site stating that Captain America: The First Avenger is heading the Great Britain's capital city as soon as this month to shoot scenes for the upcoming Marvel Studios movie! Below is an excerpt from the article.
"The film, which will start shooting in the capital later this month, is expected to include a number of scenes featuring key London landmarks. Marvel did consider undertaking the stage work in LA with only location shooting taking place in London, however it was decided it made more sense to utilise the studio facilities in and around the capital rather than splitting the production either side of the Atlantic."

Captain America To Film War Scenes in Caerwent, that revealed:
"Production will then move to Caerwent, South Wales for 2 weeks to film war scenes." As I'm sure many of you will know by now I live in Wales, and as I mentioned in that article, I live only a half an hour drive from Caerwent. Yesterday, I contacted the local council and asked whether they could either confirm or deny that report and received this reply earlier today:
"I am sorry but I am not aware of any information being available which either substantiates or denies your rumours.
We have in the past had numerous crews filming in the area but it is not usual for us to be notified of the exact name of the features being recorded.
We are aware that programs like Doctor Who and Mary Jane Adventures have used local facilities for their productions.
Sorry I can't be of any further assistance in this matter." Don't panic though! As stated in the above email, they aren’t always made aware of when and what exactly will be filming in the area so there's nothing to say that they wont still be heading to Wales! (and close enough for me to hopefully nab a few pictures!) Although I've not been there for a few years, I do know that along with several Roman ruins, the historic village is also home to a WWII era Royal Navy Propellant Factory and army training facility. The First Avenger to be filmed!
This weekend, I plan on heading over to Caerwent and asking (read: hassling) as many people as I can to find out whether anyone has spotted something to do with the movie in the area. Failing that, I'll take as many pictures as possible to share with you guys in order to give you a better idea of the kind of locations that might be featured in the movie! And come September, I am of course hoping to spot something Captain America related! Until then, here's hoping I'm not arrested for trespassing on Saturday! :)
