Captain America Three Movie Character Scopes

Captain America Three Movie Character Scopes

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was fantastic, one of if not THE best comic book movies of all time. So I’m going to take a look at characters and ideas for the third installment.

Baron Helmut Zemo

First off, yes HELMUT Zemo. I think he is the better of the main two Zemo’s, and his father was very well known as a Nazi.  Take that away from him and I don’t feel he is the same villain.  Helmut also has super powers close to if not on the level of Captain America, therefor creating another villain that can actually go toe to toe with him.  Zemo should be the last resort of HYDRA, and essentially their only hope to secure their world after the events of the Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Not really sure what his “World destruction plan” should consist of, but there are plenty of story arcs to use.

The Winter Soldier

Hopefully they get the Winter Soldier on a rampage.  Essentially he’s spent the last few years just destroying all he can of HYDRA to write the wrongs they did him.  This will lead to Zemo needing to take him out, and he will use Crossbones for that.  The story should hugely be Captain bringing him back to sanity, as well as saving his life.  Their friendship was shows terrifically in the last film, and hopefully they chose to expand on it here.

Crossbones

Crossbones will be batterd, brused, and wanting revenge.  Zemo is going to give it to him.  Zemo can break him out of prison early on, and from there use him to try and kill everyone who screwed him over in the last film.  Basically the fists of Zemo for the film.  Seeing him and Falcon go at it again would be terrific.  One thing I hope he does is fight and imprison the Winter Soldier. Also, give him the mask...

MODOK

MODOK will take little to no background story.  Essentially just have him say it to whoever asks.  Leader of AIM, working with HYDRA because he knows AIM can’t take out the world on its own.  Essentially allow him to be the role Zola was in the first Captain America film.  I think he should be the one to give Zemo his powers, and also create any sort of superweapon or bio toxin or whatever may be used in the film.  The mad scientist essentially of the film I think could add a lot to it, and I think he could attempt to use the winter soldier for a greater purpose.

So now as you can see, I have set up how the film will go.  The Winter Soldier is hot on Zemo’s trail, Crossbones takes him out and imprisons him.  Now MODOK is using the Winter Soldiers powers possibly to create a super army for HYDRA to take over the world.

Sharon Carter

Essentially all I can say is she should take the place of the Black Widow from the last film. Travel and fight with Cap trying to save his past, meanwhile though she should fall in love with him.

The Falcon

Essentially the same as last time.  Captain’s right hand man, I’d like him to kill off Crossbones maybe in this one, but they deffinently set up a rivalry between the two of them in the last film.

Captain America

Cap in this one should be tracking down bucky, through his search he uncovers the rest of HYDRA, and must take them down.  Taking out AIM while in the process, and I think that’s what MODOK can do in this film.  He can add in the “we need inside information” character, if they need one.

All in all I don’t have a full on story, I’m slowly working that out in my head.  But I think all of these characters can easily be used, and only 2 of them would be new in this film.  Like? Hate? Sound off below. With this many characters also, and less SHIELD, it opens up a lot of screen time for each one, bring more character development. Also allows more action scenes for just about everyone, so we can get our fill of what each character brings to the table.

They won't do Modok. It just doesn't match up with what they're trying to do. This movie idea though fun for comic book fans is too corny. It's going to be a redemption tale of Bucky realizing that he can never undo what he did but that he can try to do better now and make amends. I also see his relationship the Scarlet Witch being explored. In the comics they are lovers. I think Cap tracking Bucky to south America and discovering Helmut Zemo would be great. Though I think Cap should be tracking Bucky and end up discovering the same conspiracy/ unraveling the same mystery. They should introduce Wakanda, Latveria and Madripore and then end in South America fighting Zemo's secret army of Hydra and revealing the Red Skull as Alexander Lukin CEO of Roxxon Oil.

Hey! Someone who actually focused on the clues set up at the end of WS (looking for Bucky) and not assuming they're going to kill off a character may well dominate the box office for four solid weeks.

I'd really be okay if Hydra is given a rest. It was a surprise that they came back for part 2, and it was really well done. But I'd be fine if they moved on to other things.

Hell, go for the Serpent Society or something.

I REALLY want Zemo in the next one, and it would probably make the most sense.

They can show flashbacks of Cap fighting Heinrich Zemo in WWII, then his son Zemo in the present days, just to set up some kind of reason for Zemo to hate Cap so much. Make it a revenge flick.

It doesn't even need to include Hydra at all. I'm fairly certain Hydra is going to get dismantled in Avengers 2, anyhow. Make it Zemo and a small group of villains, possible Sin (Red Skull's daughter), Crossbones, and a couple new guys. Also, the return of Red Skull at the end.

Eh, I'd hope to avoid flashbacks, but maybe in the same way they had brief ones with Zola finding Bucky, etc. Definitely would be good to set up why Zemo has a personal thing with Cap. I still wish he'd been at least a really brief cameo in FA.

Another idea would be the whole thing is Zemo trying to bring the red skull back from were ever he is.

Way too much for a cap film. Take out modok and you may have something. I want to see more winter soldier but they. Need to really figure out how to make a film that isn't about finding him and trying to bring him back. That's pretty ridiculous in my opinion especially if it's going head to head with BvS.

Everything you said is feasible, except hell no to 13 replacing Widow. Widow can still be there and Chris wants her back. And double Hell no to Cap falling in love with her in one damn movie where he's just realizing who the Hell she really is. That would be worst than Jane and Thor's "romance." Everyone from the second will be back though so I'm sure what you've mentioned will come to play in some form.

@wallymelon Uh its adding Modok and Zemo, Taking out Fury, Hill, Widow, Alexander pierce, Batroc... Not to much being added.

@Destined I think them at least coming close to love is inevitable in the third. Otherwise they would never have introduced her.

@dougie I honestly don't know what they have planned in that aspect. That's the only area of the movie that has me concerned for Cap 3. As much as I hate Sharon's character, I do wonder why they gave her such a slim role in the 2nd movie of Cap's franchise if she will eventually be his love interest. That leaves one solo film of his for them to flesh her out and maybe look at a relationship. It makes no sense, especially since we know Cap 3 will heavily focus on Bucky and Steve amongst other things. Then Chris wants Scarlett back for 3 and Emily said that they were going to play around with the fact Cap still doesn't know who she really is. Again, I have no clue what's happening there. I would be perfectly happy with them being platonic, especially how Steve is still in love with her Great Aunt and they showed that in TWS and probably more in AOU, but if they're going the other route it has to be super developed and believable to win over audiences, especially since many think him and Widow would be romantically involved. I really hope they do this tastefully and don't just jump into it. I trust Markus and McFeely and the Russo's to do it right. And I'm sure Chris will want the same quality in that aspect as well.

I don't see Zemo coming in because the just introduced Strucker. Stucker is a big enough threat on his own. A lot of Cap3 depends on A2.

@Sikwon that's true. Russo brothers did say they were happy where the AOU script left Cap so I suspect it'll be a solid set-up to Cap 3.

Keep Zola instead of using MODOK. Give him an android body.

Yes to Zemo, they already said that Strucker would be in the beginning of Avengers 2. So incarcerate him or kill him off, and use Zemo for Cap 3. Have Zemo drop this whole Hydra organization. Have Red Skull pulling the strings, and guiding him towards more important goals.

Introduce Taskmaster. Him and Crossbones would make really effective partners. Taskmasters costume would inspire Brock to wear his mask.

I agree, no more Widow. More Sharon. For Caps films i mean. Bucky will help Cap by the end of the film. Thats enough of an addition to Caps little group.

Have the plot reveal Red Skull manipulated the first two films and Hydra behind the scenes. That he just used Hydra to gain more power from SHIELD. That the Tesseract took him were he truly wished to go, to gain more power. To Thanos. Dont show him in the film though, just a reference, and that Red Skull is a member of the Black Order. His job to present a broken and ruled Earth to Thanos. To provide Thanos with all the unique and powerful objects, before Thanos would destroy the Earth, and provide Red Skull with more power.

Red Skull would die by the end of the film. More reason for Thanos to show up in Avengers 3.

Of course all of this would revolve around Cap and Bucky. Their relationship is the focus point.

I'm a Widow fan for sure, and am open to more Hawkeye. That said, I could definitely see neither showing up in Cap 3, and Sharon Carter as well. It's no longer about SHIELD, though Sharon being with the CIA obviously could come into play.

BUT...guess we'll see how Avengers 2 leaves these guys.
