MarvelFreshman: I'm currently waiting on his reply, after I asked if he'd really be auditioning & wished him luck. I don't know more than what I posted above, so I can't say whether or not he would be good. He does have the look down packed. Though if he were to get the role, him being 6'5 would be taller than Thor.
I still say Ryan McPartlin would do us justice as the Captain. So yeah. What do you think?

Not a bad look.

Damn, those have to be the bluest eyes I've ever seen. Though 6'5" may be a bit too tall.

I like it. I hope they do go on the young side and his height gives him that extra something. You just have to have Thor standing on something when they're close.

Yeah you know this guy could almost grow on me if they dyed his hair and eye brows blonde.
It doesn't look like he's done much at all so there's no way for us to know if his acting is any good.

lol I think somebody already mentioned this but this guy is taller and in better shape than the guy playing Thor. Stack shoes for Hemsworth?

Well, I've seen worse choices suggested! This guy looks the part but I'm with MarvelFreshman...Ryan McPartlin for Captain America! :)

Should they be looking for a young face? Iron Man, Thor, Banner (whether or not is in the film) are not young guys. and don't look as such on the team. They will have all these seasoned guys with a twenty something leading the team? Doesn't make sense to me.

Personally I like Michael Fassbender, who played LT. Archie Hicox in Inglorious Basterds, for the part. It would be pretty ironic a German actor gets to Play Captain America. He really is a great fit for CAP though.

@ Necro: True enough. They are indeed taking a bit of a risk by using an untested unknown. Hopefully they have someone working on the casting that has an eye for natural talent.

I wouldn't object to McPartlin either.

I think they should go unknown for the Cap as long as the guy can act... Derek Theler would be great for this role, I know a little bit about him and he is a man (6'5" 220lbs), def not a pretty boy. He grew up on an Air Force base in Colorado and has the right mindset, personality, (and def look) for this role, plus I know he wants it!
