FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER Star Elijah Richardson Keeps Schtum On Possible CAPTAIN AMERICA 4 Role (Exclusive)

Elijah Richardson played Eli Bradley in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but he's giving nothing away when asked about the possibility of suiting up as Patriot in Captain America 4. Check it out...

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier introduced us to Isaiah Bradley, a Super Soldier imprisoned by the U.S. Government due to their ignorant, racist concerns about America having a Black superhero. His story arc was one of the show's most hard-hitting elements, and the fact his grandson, Eli, was also introduced pointed to the newly introduced character's legacy being key moving forward.

In the comic books, Eli becomes Patriot, the leader of the Young Avengers. There was no indication in the Disney+ series that he had superpowers, but it would make perfect sense for Isaiah's abilities to have been handed down to his grandson. It would make even more sense for Sam Wilson, the MCU's new Captain America, to train the teenager when he returns.

Talking to us about his role in Hollywood Stargirl alongside co-stars Grace VanderWaal and Tyrel Jackson Williams, we asked Elijah if there's a chance he could suit up as Patriot in Captain America 4.

Unfortunately, Marvel Studios has trained him well as the actor was quick to reply, "No comment" with a smile. After we wondered if his co-stars would like to join Eli in the MCU, Grace responded by saying, "Heck yeah," while Tyrel joked, "I mean, obviously. Let's just do Stargirl again but as superheroes this time."

You might want to check out the video below because at the end of the interview, we jokingly mention to Elijah that we're excited to see him in Captain America 4, and you can be the judge when it comes to whether his laugh gives anything away! The movie doesn't have a release date, but we know Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson are hard at work on the screenplay.

Hollywood Stargirl premieres on Disney+ on Friday, June 3!

Let’s be real, we all knew the second he showed up that we’d see him suited up eventually

Would love to see an Isaiah Bradley Capt AmErica film set during his exploits in the Korean War.

@JobinJ - not a movie, but an anthology show (let's call it Tales to Astonish?) with stories like that could be interesting. Young Hank suiting up as Ant-Man to punch Soviets is another story that I think could fit in there.

@Lokiwasright - Tell me you know nothing about Patriot's story without telling me you know nothing about Patriot's story.

Did you even watch F&WS, where they explicitly went through his family history?

Although I wanna see a Young Avengers with Kate, Yelena, Cassie, America and Kamela first, I'd definitely wanna see Eli suit up down the line (maybe in a second season with Billy, Tommy and Kid Loki).

For now, I think seeing him and Isaiah show up in Cap 4 makes sense I guess. Especially wanna see the latter again.

The Bradley Family scenes were the highlight of F&WS. Hope to see a lot more of both of them in the future.

I'm very interested to see where they go with the Young Avengers lineup. Will Kate and Yelena be part of it? They're both significantly older than the teen stars. Right now we have

America Chavez
Patriot
Ms. Marvel
Ironheart
Kid Loki

confirmed to be in play, with Wiccan and Speed available, semi-introduced in the wings. With Kang around, some version of Iron Lad (Caleb McLaughlin, please) seems a no-brainer, but would they be worried about overlap with Ironheart?

@SerKurtWagner - I think they will leave both Iron Lad and Ironheart out of it.

Who I hope will be on the team is Hulkling. The Marvels seems to be an appropriate place to introduce him.
