Guy Pearce Wants To Return For PROMETHEUS 2

His character may have bitten the dust at the end of Prometheus, but Guy Pearce revealed in a recent interview that he would love to return for its sequel, which is currently gearing up production, once again under director Ridley Scott.

Interestingly, Pearce isn't even concerned with playing Peter Weyland again, and would be willing to play someone completely different for the opportunity to work with Scott once again.

"I'd love to go back and play that character again..To work for Ridley again, you know, he's great -- really wonderful to work for. So yeah, I'm very curious to see what he will do next with it."

"Based on my character's request for immortality and then getting whacked in the head with Michael Fassbender's head, uh... no. [Laughs] But I think it's possible. I just think it may not be for Peter Weyland. I mean, who knows? When you look at science fiction and the ways in which you can cut the pie and things can develop -- technologically speaking, etcetera -- anything's possible, really, isn't it? Particularly with Ridley at the helm."

What do you think? Would you like to see Pearce as Weyland again? He may have been encumbered by some bad aging makeup, but was still a great choice for the role, and it would be great to see him again. Sound off in the comments!

I'm almost positive Guy Pearce's agent is real good friends with Reynolds' agent if you know what I mean.

I really like Guy Pierce but....no. I would like them to just focus on what the ending was setting up with.

I have said it before. How to make a Prometheus sequel:
Flashbacks from the 1st one, suddenly cut to David waking up from a nightmare on Prometheus, saying: Ok I guess androids do have cheap dreams.
Then the rest of the crew wakes up as Prometheus is aproaching LV223 and the real prequel to Alien beginn.

@Humpherdick: Yeah that is the best plot twist in the history of mankind! :)
If they could put Bobby in the shower of Prometheus, I smell an Oscar coming up.
