If you were like me, having grown up with the once ever-so-popular CW superhero shows in their DC-inspired world known as 'The Arrowverse', then you have one man to thank for uprising your childhood in the way that it had been.

Superproducer Greg Berlanti, who is most notable and recognized for developing shows such as 'Arrow', 'The Flash', 'Supergirl', etc... has closed in a new deal with Warner Bros Studios for his production company 'Berlanti Productions', to remain as a part of the studio for now until 2027.

["Warner Bros. is keeping their most prolific TV producer of the last decade in the fold. Greg Berlanti has closed a massive new four-year exclusive overall deal for his Berlanti Productions to remain at the studio for its television operations into the year 2027."] - Deadline

["In success, based on the number of series the new deal yields and their profitability, it could be the biggest TV deal ever for Warner Bros. It marks the first re-up for a top TV creative talent since the Discovery merger"] - Deadline

[“Greg is a huge talent, and the impact of his prolific and powerful storytelling on Warner Bros. and audiences, and on our culture, is just ‘wow,’] - David Zaslav

Zaslav continued by saying:

["He began his career with us, and we are incredibly fortunate that he will continue to build and grow our TV studio into the future.”]

It is very exciting for Berlanti to continue his partnership with Warner Bros, after all, he is responsible for the creation of my favorite show of all time!

I am thrilled just thinking about the new content and projects he has in development with Warner Bros!

I'm happy Berlanti is staying. I like him and his work. Still I am surprised he agreed to stay considering that it's Zaslav who led that unnecessary bloodbath of cancelations from last year that included two of his projects to end up being untimely canceled, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman just to appease to the new douche owners, Nexstar, to buy The CW.

This could mean the survival of Superman & Lois as well of Gotham Knights, if they still end up being canceled because the new owners seeking to "cater" to older audiences with nothing cheap realities programming then what are we even doing here renewing his contract? If so, I hope Justice U can prosper.

This also means his Green Lantern project in HBO Max should be secured too. He gave them on the streamer The Fly Attendant which was a hit. Whatever happens with HBO Max in this year his TV shows should live on. And if Green Lantern lives, then I'm going to consider it as a sign that James Gunn and Peter Safran REALLY won't make everything streamlined for the DCU which I'm in favour.

TDLR; his permanance should mean S&L, GK and Justice U should be safe. If not I hope he is trying to find them a streamer home. Green Lantern with John Stewart should also be in safe hands.

And even though he wasn't the main showrunner nor executive producer, Berlanti was still credited as one of them so I hope that he can help Geoff Johns revive his most personal project to properly finish telling the stories he had left. (If that means Infinity Inc. can get it's chance, even better!)

I loved the Arrowverse but it hasn't been decent in a very long time. I don't think this is a good idea, all his work from like last 7 years was pretty terrible. Superman and Lois season 1 was OK but season 2 was pretty awful imo. Even when Arrowverse was at the top of it's game it still wasn't what anyone would call "quality tv". I made it up to the Infinite Crisis event and like half a season of the shows after but I eventually dropped it all like most other fans did.

They should probably lean more into him considering he is like the only other person to figure out how to make a cinematic universe. Sure, it catastrophically fell apart in the end, but credit where it's due.
