DC Comics has announced that Batman: Three Jokers #1 will be released on Tuesday, August 25. A monthly release schedule is planned thereafter for the three-issue series, which reunites Justice League writer Geoff Johns and artist Jason Fabok as they finally explain what it meant when the Dark Knight revealed to Alfred that there aren't one, but three, Clown Princes of Crime.

"As more stores are finding ways to operate and service their customers, our release schedule is under constant review," DC's Senior VP/Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras said in a statement. "From placing orders to on sale, moving Batman: Three Jokers to August will enable more stores to order and sell this incredible story that Geoff and Jason have crafted."

Originally scheduled for a fall 2018 debut, Three Jokers was hit by multiple delays before finally being set for this past June. Now, with shipments slowly being sent out, things have changed.

A number of new preview pages from the first issue have been shared which can be seen below.

@RolandD - no idea lol. Not sure of the origin.

The light up batsymbol is actually pretty stupid.

Everyone knows that Batman thinks darkness is his ally. But he merely adopted it.

Seriously though, he has night vision in his cowl, no need for a fricking torch coming out of his chest

@Nightwing1015 - “I am going to limit the illuminating potential of this chest flashlight because I can’t use any tools without incorporating my brand logo in some way. Marketing, Robin.”

@Nightwing1015 - it is really dumb lol and he's not even getting full illumination because the bat symbol blocks more than half the light.

@Nightwing1015 - not like there isnt anyone with him, right? I guess batwoman uses sonar then?

I hope this is good. Been waiting a while for this. Also, I like the light up symbol lol that's a Grant Morrison thing I believe. I miss the oval symbol

@Dredd97 - A few above don’t like the light up symbol, but I agree. It’s cool. Also, imagine he comes upon some thugs in the middle of a crime. He shines the symbol and he’s already got them scared before he does a thing.

@RolandD - Right? It's like the Spider-Man light he used to have on his belt. Blinding them makes it easier to fight. Plus that Frank Miller excuse of it being an on purpose target
RolandD
RolandD - 5/14/2020, 11:27 AM
@Dredd97 - You must of been reading my mind. I was thinking about Spiderman’s light when I wrote my, and almost mentioned it. I’m glad the Dark Knight Returns is not canon, but there are a lot of cool things about the story. I would keep Miller away from writing anything with Superman in the story, though.

@RolandD - Haha great minds think alike. No I agree. DKR is a really good story, but I never wanted it to be the norm. Which always annoys me when they do make it that way. Especially his Superman, which I hate. But I digress. It did have some good ideas.

I wonder if they're going to explain why Batman didn't just ask any followup questions when he asked the Mobius Chair who the Joker was.

"What's the Joker's true name?"
"There are three."
"Okay ... what are their names?"

Storytelling doesn’t require logic nowadays, it seems.

Beautiful art but out of curiosity I was wondering why 2 pages of panels just showing a truck driving down a road?
