COMICS: DC Confirm New Justice League Series And 52 #1 Issues In September!

How long has it been since the Big 3 were on the same team?I think it's been about 3 years.Hell, how long has it been since the Big 7 were on a team together?I hope they are all apart of the new lineup.

So far, not thrilling me with the changes based on the pic.

That picture makes me think that's what Superman's new suit in Man of Steel is gonna look like.

^Me too @MrSpecs I feel that they can't just throw away everything Johns and Morrison have done for the characters.

I wish they looked a little bit more mature though.

Supes needs red briefs, and Lee needs to stop with the V collars, it only looks good on Aquaman.

Also, from the looks of the picture, Lee loves to draw those collars that open down into V's lol. Everyone has one. Even Wonder Woman!

I'm not going to gain any fans here but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Superman wearing his underwear on the outside like there's nothing wrong with Batman wearing his black underwear on the outside. You guys who are so bothereed by it are obvious like Lex Luthor... You feel demasculinized by a real man, just kidding but seriously, nothing wrong with EITHER of the suits, just a new direction. Should it evolve especially now since they'll lose likeness rights? Sure, preemptive attempts are necessary, but y'all don't need to be whiney byatches about it.

52 new number ones. Just another crappy gimmick to generate mainstream publicity and its free advertising. Gimmicks, cheap shocks, and huge 'events' are the only ways DC and Marvel know how to sell books anymore. Back a few years, they relied on interesting stories, compelling characters, and good art to sell books. Not surprisingly, their sales were much higher then than they are now. Gee, I wonder why?

OKAY! EVERYONE LISTEN! I KNOW WHY!

The reverse Flash is going back and forth in time changing every hero's history. Batman is now Thomas Wayne, and Bruce is the one who got killed as a kid. And all the other heroes were changed too.
DC will most probably be back to normal in a year or so. It will be fun, but it won't be forever!

1). The comic book industry exists in order to make money [$$$]. DC comics is consistently beat in sales by their competitor Marvel Comics.

Marvel Comics takes in about 40% of all the revenue in the comic market compared to DC Comics that takes in 30% of the dollar share [10% less than Marvel]. The other 30% belongs to Dark Horse, Image, IDW, Dynamite, VIZ, Archie, BOOM!, and others.

However, DC Comics has been behind of Marvel Comics for years.

2). WB, according to insiders, wants DC Comics to be more profitable or they will start making implementing budget cuts; It's a business after all.

3). The team at DC Comics is looking to reinvent their line in order to bring in new readers; they plan to keep and reintroduce what works and toss out what doesn't. Plus, they are shaking up the creative teams on books in order to reinvigorate the characters. Therefore, they are giving new readers the opportunity to jump in at a #1 in hopes of gaining market share.

They are adapting to the market by making their product more appealing to a wider pool of readers.

4). I, personally, agree with the reboot; it's about time.

I think that no superhero should ever be married or have children (See: Flash, Superman, Batman, Catwoman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, etc); it's an idiotic gimmick. I think it makes the books unrelatable to kids under 30, and boring as all sin [like watching some family oriented TV show]. The angsts in relationships should always be maintained; girlfriends are okay, but skip on the wedding until the very end of the series, and no [frick]ing kids.

Plus, the heroes shouldn't age to look like decrepit old men in tights (see: Aquaman, Green Arrow). When teenagers read comics, they have to be able to see themselves 10 years in the future, not their parents. Who wants to read about their parents?

This is a REALLY bad idea for DC to try and get new readers. Instead of hitting the great big reset button, all that time they did big event after big event could've been spent on keeping the deal with the Siegels and increasing creative output: new characters every week or month, new stories, and putting more properties on the big or small screen or on the toy aisles. They and Marvel failed to do that.

The way I see it, the comic book industry as a whole is better off dead and never to return.
