At the E3 Expo currently underway in Los Angeles, California, Sony unveiled the official trailer for their upcoming DC Universe Online MMORG that is due out this fall. Courtesy of ComicBookResources, here's the video and description:

"This trailer also shows the tremendous influence Jim Lee has brought to the table working as the Executive Creative Director on this title – his edgy take on the DC Universe has been transformed from the traditional 2D comic book medium into an immersive 3D interactive environment where you become the next legend!" the post reads. "Between now and our release in November, stay tuned for tons of exciting releases from the team – we can’t wait to show you what is up our sleeves!"

Looks sick! I'll play it as long as it's not too difficult for a guy that's new to DC (me) to pick up the story. In my experience DC has a long history of alienating new readers.

If you guys didnt know.........

If you add DC Universe as something you like on Facebook, you get access to tons of videos from some of the creators of the game. They reveal tons of information on the game from creating characters to the different kinds of way to play this game. Its really sweet. This game will be well worth the wait.

@jusme6.....it wont be hard for you to grasp the game because you create your character and its all about you creating a name for yourself. U can play online with the world or u can choose to play it as a single person with no involvement from outside players.

@Joey Misfit - because the 360 SuCkS and more importantly doesn't have the power the PS3 does. PS3 FTW!!! :P But seriously Microsoft had nothing at E3 this year in their press conference exept stuff about Kinect(Natal). Tomorrow is looking up to be a promising day with Nitendo hitting the battle grounds first then Sonny right behind it!

I really, REALLY want to get this game, but I'm waiting to hear what the policy for paying is. If it's a monthly thing, I'll probably not get it. I hope it isn't a monthly payment system.

This looks awesome but I dont really use my PS3 for gaming all that much these days. (although it makes an awesome blu-ray player) I still pick up the odd few big titles but I'm just not as interested as I used to be. This one I might make an exception for though. :P

You can't play "by yourself". It's a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game). Massively Multiplayer. That means that there's going to be other people. "PvP" stands for "Player vs. Player", which would be a separate server in which Hero characters can attack Villian characters (and vice versa) any time they wish. The other type of gameplay is "PvE", which stand for "Player vs. Environment". Players on the PvE servers will not be able to outright attack an enemy. The enemy will have to agree to a fight beforehand.

No, you cannot be part of the Green Lantern Corps. You cannot (stricly) have a GL ring. You cannot wear the GL logo. You would have to set your power type as "Hard Light", and make your power source a ring, and set your power color to green. That would be as close as you could get. The developers really boned us here. But, on the bright side, all that is only at launch. There are going to be game expansions that extend into other parts of Earth, and eventually going into space and other planets. In these expansions, there will almost definitly ways to join the Corps.


If you're interested, please "Like" the facebook page. Just search for DC Universe Online. The page juuuust about has 20,000 followers. Which is already a low number. And please watch some vidoes of gameplay. You'll be blown away.

Not that I can recall. If I would have to guess, I would say it isn't going to be compatible, since for years now, they've only advertised PS3 and PC. I'll have to get back to you on that, though.

AA 2 is a single person stealth action, not an MMO. Completely different type of game, DCUO is however an action game as well as an MMO.

FYI There has never been a physics based action MMO before and AA2 started development months ago... Retard.
