Updates For Lobo And Green Hornet

Bad news for the upcoming comic book movies including the Green Hornet, Jonah Hex and Lobo!

IESB.net reports that some of the upcoming comic book films such as Green Hornet and Lobo are in bad situation.

First up is the Green Hornet.Apparently Sony executives are not happy with the results of the final product and that the film is going against Tron:Legacy and the new Narnia film:

-The tone is too campy, they're not happy with the work from director Michel Gondry and Seth Rogen does not look the part. At all. In fact, the feeling at Sony is the movie is a disaster.

Next up are Lobo and Jonah Hex:

-The real issue at hand is several of the top Warner Bros. executives have lost faith in Akiva Goldman's producorial skills. This is a direct result of their not-so-hot reaction to The Losers and especially Jonah Hex. The latter required massive reshoots (in excess of 50 pages worth of new material) and another director in studio go-to guy Francis Lawrence was brought to call the shots. So basically Lobo won't be happening anytime soon.

So, many were wondering how will the Green Hornet look like, so now here is your answer; apparently not good. Also, I really want to know what is going on with Jonah Hex. Film is set to hit theatres on June 18 and we have nothing but that teaser poster...

WOW! i couldve saved them a lot of money at the beginning if they had just listened to me when i said Green Hornet was going to be a waste of time and money long before they started filming the piece of crap.

Green Hornet...Not really surprised there. As soon as I heard that Rogan was involved, I lost all hope.

Too bad about Hex. That one had some potential. Then again, Megan Fox is involved...soooooo...yeah. Hope they can fix that one.

Lobo, I was surprised to see them choose that character for a feature film. He's cool and all, but just not main stream enough. He needs to be included as a cameo in another character's film.

Jonah Hex, i can tell, is REALY gonna suck. It's gonna be 1 of those movies the trailer comes out a month b4 th actual release and the movie will fail completely.

Too bad 4 Green Hornet. So did they pull the plug officially?
What do you call a reboot of something that never got finished?

Mmm. Don't really care about Hornet although it would have been nice if it didn't suck! Pissed off about Hex, whether this is accurate or not the fact that we haven't heard a peep from it is very worrying.

Personally I think Dc should make a Flash or Wonder Woman film before they make a Lobo film.

Thank GOD!!! Seth Rogen is not superhero material. I forgot he was in Donnie Darko,LOL, Just saw that movie again the other night. Haven't seen that movie in a while. Such a great creepy movie.

I love the GH but I never let myself even begin to get excited about this film because of Rogen.

Obviuosly this wolvie09 didn't do his homework and is full it....
first the excutive producer is Greg Silverman for Jonah Hex second his new material pages is way off. additional story is about 12 pages I believe the new material deals with Jeb Turnball's death more background on Jonah's past and why Quentin Turnball wants Jonah dead.
Francise Lawerence was brought in to advise not directon new material.
all the additional filming done on Jonah Hex was new material no reshoots were done .

It seems to me that there are people out there that want to keep insisting that Jonah Hex will fail well they've been wrong before and really Toy Story Frak Toy Story stupid,stupid,stupid as stupid gets Wolvie09 you pratt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I'm even more curious about Green Hornet. I knew that Rogen wasn't right for the film, but I thought that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, something good could come out of it. Now I'm incredibly curious.

As for Jonah Hex. I'm sick of waiting. Give us a goddamn trailer NOW.

I know for a fact that the shoots on 'Hex' are additional story being added . . . not re-shoots," said Jimmy Palmiotti, writer of the "Jonah Hex" comic and who has been intimately involved with the production. "This is a great sign because the studio saw the rough cut and loved it, so much so they pushed up the date and decided to put more money into the film.
This is great news and should put all those doubters to rest. enough said idjits!!!!!!!!

I think the writing in bold is a copy and paste by Wolvie and not necessarily written by wolvie.

With that said, it is soooo poorly written it begs the question of legitimacy. For Example:

"Akiva Goldman's producorial skills."

producorial skills??? <---You're kidding, right? I think big boy talk would say "producing skills".

"Francis Lawrence was brought to call the shots."

Missing words like, "...brought 'in' to call the shots".

Not to mention the run-on sentences that were not caught by an editor's eye.

When I saw Steven Chow involved in GH I had hopes!

Originally Chow was set to direct, produce and star in the remake, but it seems as creative differences have got in the way? (Rogen is creative??) Perhaps the studio exec's told him that he could not B*t*h-slap the monkey sweat outta Rogen into taking this story seriously. But then they see him as the titular BigBoxOffice draw {not sure why as he is a mediocre talent]so they threw Chow under a bus when it should have been Rogan hanging onto a Greyhound to DesMoines.

As far as LOBO and HEX. Equal pity as those had tremendous possibilities.

Seth as the Green Hornet Killed it already....Kato doesn't look Special to me at all....

It looks STUPID (Campy is a good word too) and not as Serious and Dark like it Should've Could've been.

The Greeen Hornet should've been HANDSOME and SUAVE...

Seth looks like a Former BEER CHUCKER that Just Lost Weight!

Rogen sucks in anything he headlines in. His better performances are supporting ones. GH was doomed from the begginning. And i always thought Hex would bomb but didn't know exactly why... there ya go. Glad Goldy won't get his filthy hands on Lobo. Let's get someone actually competant for this complex character. Oh and...

DOn't know much about JH ... but they do have big names behind the movies so they might just push it through

GH - NUBA is correct Seth Rogan is nowhere close to be being suave then again wasn't to excited for the GH

BUT I FREAKIN want a LOBO movie those damn Bastiches

I think Jonah Hex is gonna fail. Megan Fox has fallen out of favor ever since late last year. People are treating he like she's one of the Disney actresses. Which is rather melodramatic, IMO. Between Fox and Miley Cyrus, you know who I'm keeping on the boat.

If you really want to damage Fox for life, go to the graves of one of her relatives, and piss on it. Whining about her isn't gonna do shit. Same goes for Howard Stern who won't stop railing on Jay Leno, rather than do something about it.

Why does Warner Bros. hate DC? Or are they secreting helping Marvel look good in the movie war?

I was really looking forward to see Jonah Hex since I love DC and sick of all the Iron Man 2 hype. Now I dunno what's gonna happen. Why can't Warner get their acts together? Yeah, Iron Man 2's gonna make a ton o' dough. Whoopdedoo!

Don't care for Green Hornet though.

If they change Jonah Hex completely i hope that they dont loose the actors. Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, Michael Fassbender... Well i dont give a f**k about Megan Fox so they can drop her off if they want too.

I had a feeling that Green Hornet is going to fail.
And yeah Seth Rogen was a bad choice for Britt Reid from the beginning! There would have been so much better guys for the role like Brad Pitt, Mark Valley, Chris Pine, Matt Damon and Alexander Skarsgård.
So change the movie Sony, if you think it needs change!:) I can wait!

Ouh! And like Leee said LOBO IS GOLD!!:) SONY PUT LOBO ON HOLD IF YOU THINK IT NEEDS IT AND LATER DO IT IN THE RIGHT WAY LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!

lobo would be awesome didn't know they were actually planning on making it tho. thats cool. it needs to be hardcore if it ever gets made. as for green hornet i liked the original one as for this new one i was skeptical about seth rogen as green hornet i mean you watch all those other movies hes in then you hear green hornet your like wtf. and i was kind of feeling jonah hex but we'll just see what happens with that
