Today, DC Entertainment's rather ambitious fundraiser surpassed its initial goal of $100 000 with 4 days remaining in the campaign. This year's 'We Can Be Heroes' fundraising campaign was entirely Superman-centric as a way to celebrate the icon's 75th anniversary.

The goal was met when, according to Indiegogo, Timothy Draper donated $25,000. The reward? A mural painted by Jim Lee himself in Draper's hometown! Other prizes that were - and some which still are - available include signed movie posters (ex. Man of Steel signed by David Goyer) and graphic novels (ex. Death and Return of Superman signed by Dan Jurgens). Another upper level prize that is still available - at the time of writing - is an exlusive dinner with Geoff Johns and Richard Donner. For more information on available prizes click here.

All that wasted money that could be going into something more useful, like you know A JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE? Is DC trying to be sympathetic for once thinking they are trying to do something useful. Seriously this is a wasted idea in my opinion. We Can Be Heroes but how about being heroes if we wanted to be and not shoving it down our throat.

I would like a dinner with Richard Donner. Love Superman 1 & 2.

What I would give for a Keaton/Reeve Batman/Superman film.

Johns is meh to me. I like some of his work but there is some I don't like but still cool deal.

How much for the dinner thing?

I don't have that kind of money and if I did I wouldn't eat for a week then when the dinner comes I would order everything on the menu to get my money's worth.

@FullMetalJacky

Do you have any brain cells? Just because you have it so good in your life doesn't mean other people who are starving to death don't need money. You seriously think a Justice League movie is more important than millions of people's lives? Just be happy you have it so easy.

This is pretty cool. I'd like the mural, but he already bought it and I don't have the cash for that. Good to see all this money is going to a good cause.
