EDITORIAL: A Proposal On The Origins For Both Ultron And the Vision

Within this Editorial, I present to you a few thoughts on the first official plot synopsis for the film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and how they interlace with some of the impressions I've had, surrounding the speculation for the origins of Ultron and the Vision. Check it out.

While the "uneasy alliances and unexpected action" bit of the press release could be reviewed, I, for this Editorial, will primarily focus on the speculation surrounding the origins for not only the Vision, but Ultron as well. A procedure in which will involve both comments and officially released statements:

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program (Marvel Studios)

Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. (Marvel Studios)

With the above quotes in mind, I'd find it interesting if the film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, revealed that DrHenry "Hank" Pym and Howard Stark created this "dormant peacekeeping program". These actions would then be justified from what had just occurred in Captain America: The First Avenger, and only further reinforced, by the rising political and miltary tensions between powers in the Western Bloc (the United States with NATO and others) and powers in the Eastern Bloc (the Soviet Union and its allies within the Warsaw Pact), events from which came to be known as the Cold War. Thus they create the Vision, but is put on hold for some unspecified reason. An area of obscurity for now, that could perharps be clarified within the upcoming Ant-Man film, come July 17, 2015. But nonetheless referred to, with Stark wanting to jumpstart this program once more.

Therefore, he creates Ultron,  accompanied by Banner this time around, with a version of the J.A.R.V.I.S. system (giving him a soothing, and melodic voice in the process), but with the idea that was once the Vision, and by extension, Pym's own proposals. Which, in theory would be brilliant as it would coincide with what Marvel has said up to this point, in that Pym wouldn't be involved in Ultron's creation,

We're doing our own version of the origin story for Ultron. In the origin story, there was Hank Pym, so a lot of people assumed that he will be in the mix. He's not. We're basically taking the things from the comics for the movies that we need and can use. A lot of stuff has to fall by the wayside. (Whedon)

while still keeping the integrity of the matter.

Now, as we all know Ultron will inevitably turn against his creator, and enact his own directives, while only strengthening his motives as the new leader, of this refurbished "peacekeeping" program.

I fiercely dislike the idea of just throwing in more people for the sake of doing that. But last time I had all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes versus one British character actor, and I needed more conflict. (Whedon)

However, in evaluating that a few additional characters had been added to the film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and having considered the above comment, the Maximoff Twins will not be the only shifting set pieces that endanger the concept that is The Avengers, as I suspect that the Vision will not only threaten this dynamic, but rather primarily, in a more personal manner towards his "grandfather", Stark. This implied relationship would then come to be, in effect from the evolutionary process, his "father" Ultron, has subjected himself to. Ultron initially, will be a small threat. However, as referenced to, with an Artifical Intelligence at it's helm, this being will not only endure, but evolve, as well.

I’m having a blast with Ultron. He’s not a creature of logic – he’s a robot who’s genuinely disturbed. We’re finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is. (Whedon)

To conclude, following the reading of the comment above, I expanded and ultimately finished this overall theory, with the following impressions:

In regards to how the birth of the first, functional Vision will come to fruition, Ultron will construct and reinvigorate this now, new android (with the official J.A.R.V.I.S. system), but from the intentions that were placed to aid in the 1960s project, and as mentioned, for the birth of himself, as well. These actions will be to strengthen his legion, but more so, to smite his creator, with a creation of his own.

So, what do you guys think? Is there something here, or have I stated the obvious?
Thanks, and have a wonderful day/evening.

I like the Stark/Pym ---> Stark/Banner connection(s), and I love the Cold War connections. Thumbed up!

Nice. I'm really hoping that Stark and "Old Pym" get introduced somehow in AOU, or that it's mentioned that they have met or know each other....

I like the idea of Howard Stark and Pym collaborating too

There's a small icon that reads (when you hover over it), "Block Quote". Click it, and it should add a highlighted text box like the ones above. The length of the boxes will adjust themselves, as you add more or less text.

I'm not really big on changing concepts, but I think this one will work and definitely impress the fans of the Avengers franchise...
