Zeb Wells' Amazing Spider-Man run has proven to be somewhat divisive among comic book readers, but today's issue #32 features another development that's bound to divide opinions.
A couple of years ago, the resurrected Sin-Eater removed Norman Osborn's sins, setting the former Green Goblin on a righteous path. After rebuilding Oscorp and finding an unexpected ally in Peter Parker (who is primarily keeping an eye on his old foe), Norman is now the heroic Gold Goblin.
However, his evils didn't just vanish from the world; the Beyond Corporation got their hands on the concentrated physical manifestation of those sins and injected them into therapist Ashley Kafka, transforming her into the monstrous Queen Goblin.
With help from Kraven, she's now removed those and placed them within a spear the hunter intends to use in an effort to restore the Green Goblin. Why? Well, he intends to hunt and kill him, all to free Kafka from her Goblin fate.
Racing to protect Norman, Spider-Man takes the hit and is now imbued with Norman's many sins. It's currently unclear what that means for the web-slinger, though upcoming issues will see him don the black costume again before eventually suiting up as an amalgam of Spider-Man and the Green Goblin.

We're sure this is only temporary but it's unlikely to change any minds when it comes to Wells' Amazing Spider-Man work. Much of the hate for that has been aimed at the fact Peter and Mary Jane Watson are no longer dating, but there have been a lot of compelling stories thus far and heaps of gorgeous artwork.
