COMICS: Marvel Promises A "Game Changing" WOLVERINE #12 in September of 2014

Marvel will relaunch the "Wolverine" title in March of 2014. They have now revealed that issue 12, released in September, will be a "landmark" and "game-changing" issue.

Marvel Comics is has a special offer for comic retailers. If they save unsold copies of "Wolverine" #1, they can trade those in for the "Mortal" Variant copy of "Wolverine" #12. So why build up an issue that's almost a year away?

Because Marvel has said this issue is a "double-sized landmark issue." They've believe it will gain "national attention for its game-changing story."

So what does this mean? The last time we heard "game-changing," Marvel killed off their (arguably) Number 1 character, Spider-Man. Could their (arguably)Number 2 be next? Considering the variant cover is titled "Mortal" chances aren't looking good for Logan.

Of course, all we can do for now is speculate.

I would honestly like to see Wolverine become a villain at some point. I don't know how but it would totally be a WTF moment in Marvel comic History!

I don't like that he's not about to get his healing back... I hope Cyclops doesn't get his control back either of the optic blasts then.

If Logan has to suffer, so does Cyclops.

He's not gonna die, he's just not getting the healing back. Which means that chick is gonna fail whom SHIELD has locked up on the Helicarrier. The only being left on Earth who can control viruses.

In a perfect world this overexposed fuqup will take a backseat to a team run by a true leader... Give up? That true leader is Cyclops :-)

Having my suspicions that Logan is going to die.

Wolverine died two years ago, so they won't do it again. My guess is that they change the character in a big way, perhaps lopping off something that won't grow back when his healing factor returns.
They could Rick Grimes his hand.
They could Charles Xavier his legs.
They may have already Nick Fury'd his eye.

Marvel has been true pioneers in progressive thinking over the years. With Marvel saying this issue is a "double-sized landmark issue." That they believe it will gain "national attention for its game-changing story." They are going to make Wolverine homosexual. I praise Marvel in this because it's about time homosexuals got a top tier character to call their own.

BRAVO MARVEL BRAVO!

They're going to swap minds between Wolverine and Aunt May. It will lead to two new titles: "The Savage Aunt May" and "The Doting Wolverine".
