Last Month, after learning Netflix cancelled Luke Cage despite expections that it would get renewed for a third season, fans decide to campaign to revive Luke Cage by creating a petition on Change, worrying that the other Marvel Netflix series Daredevil, Jessica Jones and the Punisher may suffer the same fate as the Heroes For Hire.

This news came in a week after fans created the petition to revive Iron Fist for a third season when Netflix gave the series the axe. The petiton was acknowledged by showrunner M. Raven Metzner(who showrunned Season 2 of the now fan favourite series). "I'm humbled by the fact that so many people have signed this petiton to #saveironfist ----- so glad many people enjoyed it. We loved making Marvel's Iron Fist

The petiton stated "Luke Cage is the finest Marvel show in existence. It exemplifies herorics, sassy banter, great music, and family fun. The cancellation of this beloved show is utterly flabbergasting. We must fight to save our hero of Harlem as he fights for us!"

While Iron Fist and Luke Cage may be gone, there is always the hope that Disney/Marvel may revive the series on their new streaming service next year as rumors arose that Disney and Netflix had creative differences on the direction of both series and they have both alluded continuation in the future.

If both series ultimately come back on the same service as the already reported Falcon & Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch and Loki series and Jon Favreau's Star Wars universe series, one can only hope that they will remain TV-MA even though Disney has states the service will not have R-Rated films or series.

Would you like to see Iron Fist and Luke Cage revived on either Disney's streaming service or Hulu? Let me know in your thoughts.

@L0RDbuckethead - No, fans don't wanna let the Heroes for Hire go that easy. Jeph Loeb once said if we wanna bring back Agent Carter, we're gonna have to find a network for it. Maybe Disney Play would be that network for the show and the 2 other Marvel shows that were cancelled. Plus, even though it was bad, I actually liked Inhumans and I'd love to see it back so badly as well.

@brodie999 - Well, then it's gonna be a long wait for you. These shows aren't coming back.

I admire your optimism and enthusiasm for something you love, but Netflix is done outsourcing their original shows to third parties, and conversely, Disney doesn't want their Marvel properties at other studios like they were at Netflix and FOX.

DisneyPlay is a possibility, but that's looking less and less likely by the day, since they have already announced shows for Scarlet Witch and now Bucky/Falcon.

Sorry man, just enjoy JJ & DD while you have them.

@StarlordsDad - it took a while but its worked recently

also Star Trek The Original Series and Jericho were saved by fans, technically so was the original Battlestar Galactica, they did a new show, but it was crap. Lucifer was also saved.

@dracula - I wrote to NBC to save Star Trek when I was 6 years old. It did work! We got a third season. Later on, fans running cons and keeping up interest in Trek prompted Paramount to bring it back as a successful film franchise. All that happened decades before the Internet made it easier to organize and influence studios.

Never say never.

Anyways.. lol just saw Bohemian Rhapsody and I ended up loving it. The critics were wrong on this one! The beginning was kind of a generic tropey rock movie but then it became something unique and entertaining to say the least, maybe the first act were Singers scenes. Anyways Raimi at least deserves a nomination for his portrayal, twas truly golden.

@bobevanz - my wife and I saw it last night. Absolutely loved it. Both of us are huge queen fans. Saw them live with both Paul Rogers and Adam Lambert. There are several historical inaccuracies (For example, the band NEVER split up) and things added for dramatic effect but overall it was very well done!!!

Daredevil is next, then Disney have to work out a way to axe JJ without seeming sexist.
Luminus

@nikgrid - No they won't. They surely wasn't worried about seeming racist for cancelling Luke Cage.
dracula
dracula - 11/2/2018, 1:56 AM
@nikgrid - Don't see how it could be considered sexist, considering all their other shows are cancelled, including the one staring a black man

dracula
dracula - 11/2/2018, 3:57 PM
@Snowbirdd - True, while a good amount of what came out was real, some of the stuff was just ridiculous. Stan Lee's nurse complaining about the behavior of an old man who is probably senile. Acting like Joss Whedon is just as bad as some of the other people when, while he did admit to cheating on his wife, nobody has come out to say anything about him, so if he did cheat, its not like he did anything illegal. What happened with James Gunn. Then people assuming everyone who is accused is guilty. Not saying a majority of them are making crap up, but in a situation like this there are always people who will try to take advantage of it. Its innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.
