Namor is back to Marvel, and one fancasting has reached new hights. Who should be the submariner?

In a last friday video, brazilian comic news website has nailed a fancast, so I tought I could ask a very famous illustrator/designer/miracle worker to make it come true. Check it out:

Namor is suposedly back to Marvel Studios, so the fancasting has started to boil on Internet. I was watching a video from brazilian comics news, Omelete, and they casted Luke Evans as the submariner, and they back it out, by vouching that he already played more than one prince on the big screen (Dracula and the Bard - if you consider Bard a prince, hehe) and had that anti-hero vibe, with a "smug face attitude" wich could nail the part.

So, I promptedly asked the one who has brought Brie Larson to life as Carol Danvers, The Captain Marvel, to do the same with Luke, yes, BossLogic Inc. And he nicely took his time to make this fantastic artwork. Check it out, and sound your comments below!

Luke Evans is a great actor. He'd maybe win me over for the character of Namor, who I never cared for that much. I don't hate him, but still. Anyway, that picture is badass and it was cool that Bosslogic took his time to make that for you.

The moment the Sub-Mariner became relevant again in the news is the exact moment I was officially sick of hearing about Namor, outmoded, uncinematic character. Get over it.

@WeddingTux - Yeah you said that. So you don't like the Sub-Mariner because he's relevant again.
Also, if Namor's uncinematic, what about Aquaman?

@SpiderSupes94 - Aquaman has already been established as, and will continue to be, a cinematic character, because we'll be seeing Aquaman in the cinemas every year from now til 2019. Namor on the other hand, while being one of the first Marvel characters, only gained popularity as a supporting character in Fantastic Four comics. So without the FF or any wacky character factory equivalent at Marvel, what can they do now with Namor that won't be seen as an affront to Aquaman? Or Triton of the Inhumans? What's so visually engaging about a wet Spock with washboard abs and speedos? (don't answer that) How many stories can be told about a hybrid fish-man in Atlantis? At best he shows up in an episode of Agents of SHIELD beside other small screen characters, do what Smallville did, just stop trying to dignify Namor the Submariner with quality actors. It's not gonna happen, all you're doing is watering down the Marvel brand with silly ephemera.
