At the New York Toy Fair today, LEGO unveiled two new sets for the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming movie. Whilst the first set gives us another look at the ATM Heist scene from the Trailer, the second shows a hitherto unseen scene featuring the Vulture, Spider-Man and Iron Man battling around a moving armoured van.

Whilst we all know just how misleading Lego sets can be, the most intriguing thing about this second set is that one of the characters on the box has been greyed out - both in the character panel in the bottom left, and on the artwork itself where the character is driving the van - suggesting that their name and identity constitue a spoiler for the movie itself.

Furthermore, the crates that are falling out of the van carry the initials "DODC", a branding we have seen previously on both cast listings and set photos which internet fan theories have linked to the inclusion of the Damage Control agency in Spider-Man Homecoming

One possible explanation to link all of this together is that the rumoured "Department of Damage Control" (DODC) has been responsible for clearing up all the left-over Chitauri tech in New York City (in lieu of SHIELD), and that the Vulture and his gang are attempting to steal this advanced weaponary to bolster their arsenal for their criminal activities, such that we have seen in the trailer.... Or perhaps the mysterious "DODC" is something else entirely.

Check out the two lego sets below and let us know what you think in the comments - who is the mystery figure? who are the DODC?

The grey figure is obviously Shocker. The descriptions of these sets were leaked a few months back. Why would they keep him a secret though?

As for DODC - its like the Department of Disease Control - as Vulture looks like he deals in airborne weapons.

@Scarilian - That's a really interesting suggestion. Given that we've already seen photos of Shocker possessing power-gauntlets similar in style to those of Crossbones, and that Crossbones was last seen stealing a virus from the Institute For Infectious Diseases (IFDD) in Lagos Nigeria, there could be potential for them tying that plot thread from Civil War into the main narrative for Spider-Man Homecoming.

i.e. Crossbones and Shocker both using the same gauntlet tech to both steal viruses from different Disease research organisations for a larger villain.

@528491 -

Only other idea that springs to mind is 'Department Of Damage Control' who basically worked to clean-up after the Avengers and Superhero battles of the MCU. They could be used to explain where the Chitauri weapons come from.

Based on the action figure we saw and this LEGO set, it's safe to say that Iron Man does wear his Ultimate armor in the movie. Noice.

@Invictor - Nope. Remember that Ant-Man Lago set where Hank Pym was supposed to wear a black ant suit? Or when they released all that civil war promotional art where cap was wearing scaled armor? Yup, this means nothing.

@JFerguson - Get me a pic of an action figure of Hank Pym (from the movie) suited as Ant-Man and I'll believe you. Remember the Funko POP! Figure and LEGO Minifigure of Giant Man?
