VIDEO: Parody ASPCA Ad with Marvel Characters

Puppies and kittens aren't the only ones that have been mistreated by their owners. Won't someone, please, think of how much the intellectual properties suffer?!

The ComicBookMovie.com comments section is overflowing with great ideas.  A few weeks ago, in an article about a Fox or Sony production, someone floated this idea (I'm sorry, I don't remember who).  I was taken with the concept and ran with it.

DISCLAIMER:  While I generally would rather see these properties return to Marvel Studios, I recognize that there are a lot of variables to consider.  This video is a joke, not an attempt to equate the mediocrity of Fox and Sony films with actual animal abuse.  Yadda yadda yadda.  Enjoy.

There is certainly something we can all do . Just do what I do , I refuse to go see a Marvel movie at the theater that is not made by Marvel . I watch them later when they come out on video . If everyone did that all the movies would fail and Marvel would get all the rights back . How hard is that .

@thunderforce

I admire the activist spirit, but I'd be surprised if 10% of the audiences of Spider-Man or X-Men or Fantastic Four actually know the difference between Marvel Studios and Marvel characters by other studios. It's basically the same Marvel logo that comes up either way. If Amazing Spider-Man made 10% less money, Sony wouldn't have dropped the franchise and failed to reboot it in 5 years...

I think the best bet is that Fox just screws up colossally (pun not intended) with their franchises and let the contracts lapse (they already did it with Daredevil and came close to doing it with FF).

As for Sony... they seem to be too much on the ball to ever let that happen. Spidey is all they have, so they won't stop making them unless they stop making money (and that doesn't seem likely, as Spidey is unquestionably top-tier no matter how mediocre the films). There may be some possibility if Amazing Spider-Man doesn't do quite as well as they want it to and Sinister Six/Venom doesn't work out that Sony might sell the rights (ideally back to Marvel) for some ridiculous amount of money like 3 billion dollars. Would Marvel pay that much? I genuinely don't know. Might Fox pay more? I think that's a real possibility.

All there is to say is that the more people that boycott the theaters the greater the chance I get to see the Annihilators or Spiderman and Wolverine on the Avengers . The best part is you can still see the movies just wait a few months , a small price to pay for what I want to see .

This isn't the only place I tell people what I do and why I do it . So until something changes I will keep doing what I am doing .
